My AB9+ i7/8GB/256 is shipping and says delivery expected tomorrow. Was anyone else charged tax from Amazon? I'm in MA, didn't realize Amazon was now charging taxes - maybe it varies state to state....

Pre-order price of $1,645 sure doesn't seem as great after $102.85 in taxes.

Amazon started charging tax in 8 states this summer..maybe they have now added to that number. It was only a matter of time.

Did I see a post where someone listed Bloatware safe to remove from our new AB9+?

I cannot seem to find it now.

    Thanks.

I am desperately wanting this new version of the ATIV Book 9 Plus. I've talked to Samsung and Amazon with little help. Hopefully you guys can answer some questions..

First, is this laptop available now? I believe I saw a release date of today somewhere (Nov 7) Samsung has it shipping in 2-3 weeks if you purchase from them. And I can only find a couple other sites selling it with the same kind of shipping delay.
Is there just a high demand for this laptop?

I have lots of gift card credit at Amazon and want to purchase it through them but it is not listed. (except for a third party seller at $2,100)
From reading posts on here it looks like a lot of you guys ordered it through amazon and are now receiving your shipments.

I'm sure you would all be guessing as well, but should I expect to see it again on amazon in the near future? Do I need to bite the bullet and buy it elsewhere out of pocket?

    any help is appreciated.

The first shipment for K04 in the USA started yesterday, and it was from Amazon. If I have a lot of Amazon credit, I would wait because no one else has it in stock yet either. You would still be preordering from them.

The problem right now is Amazon is not taking orders on it...the only option listed is the 3rd party seller.

I'm apologizing in advance; this is a very long thread, so if this has been posted and I missed it..apologies.

I'm interested in this machine, but there have been numerous complaints about how the default screen resolution makes Chrome unusable. Apparently reducing the screen res slightly will fix this. Does anyone have any screenshots of Chrome when it's not usable?

If reducing the resolution circumvents this problem, I'd like to see a before & after pic so I can see what you're seeing.

    Thanks!

[Edit: I'm requesting this for those who currently have, or will soon have one :)]

I'll post more on this when mine arrives, but I tried a Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 2 (same resolution, 3200x1800 on 13") on Windows 8.1 at 200% scaling (in Best Buy) and Chrome looked fine to me. Just the same (besides the much sharper text) as it does 1600x900 13" on my Sony Vaio Z11. I'm not sure what the issue is, but as I said I'll gladly post my observations on the actual Samsung when I have it.

I happen to wake up at 4am this morning and decided to check amazon. As it's been said, they had 11 available at that time. I have a big return to Amazon being credited today at some point and wanted to wait until then to make this purchase. But I had a feeling these 11 wouldn't last long. Luckily I snagged one, because they are definitely all gone now.

Looking forward to this machine. And with overnight shipping mine will also arrive Monday.

Hello everyone. I made an account here so I can ask my question. I saw lots of orders from Amazon getting shipped/arriving. What about those who ordered directly from Samsung? Did anyone received their order yet?

I placed my order this week. Seeing how my order is on backorder, I assumed Samsung at least shipped out their first round of direct orders. (Of course assumptions are like <insert joke here>)

Quick question is there (ac wireless) in the near future? Also an updated graphics 5000? If so are we a year away? Sure would be nice if one laptop had all the latest specs.

I'd suggest waiting a little longer... I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on the AB9+ but the ASUS UX301LA has incredible specs as well, just not as heavily reviewed.

Nope, my direct order from Samsung still hasn't shipped out yet. I placed an order on Amazon and will be receiving it tomorrow. I emailed Samsung to cancel my original preorder and they said they couldn't since it was already "processing."

Still waiting on Samsung direct myself. Ordered on Oct. 18th, first day of pre-order, and still waiting. Wonder why Samsung is not shipping direct orders yet...? Tempted to bail and go Amazon but sounds like that could be difficult...

I also ordered October 18th and have heard nothing. I called on November 8th and was told it looked like the first batch of orders had come in and would be shipped out Monday. Called Monday and was told...well my cell connection was a bit shaky so I couldn't quite make out the why, but it seemed that the first batch of orders had been shipped out. Was told that the next batch wouldn't go out until Thanksgiving week, give or take a week.

I would cancel my order and go with someone else, but I can't even see a K04 in stock anywhere. On Amazon, well, there is one, but it's $2100 from a third party. I'm not desperate for a new laptop at the moment so I'll probably just sit tight until Samsung ships it.

Spoke with a Samsung rep today. Stated that they are looking to get the laptops in stock in 2-3 weeks. From that point, most likely we'll get our direct Samsung orders in the 1st or 2nd week of December.

I don't know how else to put it, but if you want one rapidly then keep a daily eye out on Amazon like what some of the other lucky folks here did.

Ho ho!! Just got a shipment confirmation email from Samsung! Tracking number says it was shipped yesterday and should be delivered today! Says it was 8 lbs, so it's probably the whole unit and not just a case.

Possible good news for potential NP940X3G purchasers in UK: SW Update now lists an NP940X3G-K02UK.

How it differs from the -K01UK remains to be seen. Hopefully it will have the 8GB RAM / 256GB SSD configuration. Google can't find it at the moment. Getting into the SW Update database usually means that it is going into production and will be on the shelves in a few weeks.

Germany has a choice of 6 versions of the NP940X3G: -K07DE and -K08DE have been added to the list. Also a -K06US.

Keep searching the www for "np940x3g-k02uk" several times per day. That version number only went into SW Update's database last week (usually an indication that it has been cleared for production). I'm guessing that it could be the 8/256 config but it could be something else such as 4/128 + Windows 8 Pro. Whatever the spec, Samsung UK don't seem to have told the resellers about the -K02UK yet.

I just checked Amazon and they had 16 in stock - I nailed one and should FINALLY have my ATIV 9 day after tomorrow. (confirmation email received and shipping from Amazon).

I was one of the early "buyers" directly from Samsung at the first part of last month, and have been getting a run-around (but very polite!!) ever since. My last email said they were no longer aware of the delivery date. These have been "out of stock" for a month now - actually longer.

Keep watching Amazon - right now there are a few left. I-7 Haswell, 3200x1800 with 8Gigs memory and 256 SSD 13.3" monitor. Sweet specs! Price $1799 with free shipping (if you can stand waiting longer). I paid $16 for 2nd day - well worth it.

when Amazon first offered it ( late September) it was $1645.....but that was literally for 24 hours ...never again.

Yes....$1799 seems to be full retail price.

Are you guys kidding?? I am blown away with the low price for what you get. Remember the resolution is 3200 x 1800, and with that you get 8 Gigs RAM, touch screen and a new generation Intel I-7 (Haswell) CPU. Also, a 256 Gig SSD - I think $1800 is a STEAL! As long as the SSD doesn't fail (I have had two SSD's fail in the last couple of years - one Sony Vaio laptop and one Corsair on my desktop. Corsair didn't need any proof, and immediately issued an RMA and sent a 256 Gig drive to replace my 180 Gig failed drive.

Does anyone know why the backlog on this Samsung unit? I got my order in yesterday thru Amazon, but have had it on back order from Samsung for over a month. There MUST have been some issue - I'm guessing with the resolution and related drivers, but I don't know. Everything else is pretty basic. . . Has anyone heard why the delay?

No idea about why the backlog for samsung direct. I ordered during the 1st week of November and it was immediately placed on backorder. I then ordered from Amazon on Monday and it's on a delivery to my place right now. And yes, I was able to get my Samsung direct order canceled. I also have to return the leather pouch. (no big deal).

[Update]: It arrived today. I'm tempted to install Windows 7 because I still haven't gotten used to the whole W8.1 ui. I'm currently searching around for info on how to go back to Windows 8.1 if I needed to. Of course, the installation media was not included nor is there an app to make the installation media.
