That's what I am doing now, and sure, and that works well if I plug my phone in and add the one or two new songs I downloaded. But if I get a bunch of songs from multiple artists, I'd rather not have to remember which songs to have to add to my phone. Hence, I am interested in syncing solution that have worked well for others.

Didn't Motorola used to be king of premium phones? Now they are like...crappy entry/mid range phones?

IDK, I sort by date added. The ones you just added will be at the top of the list... drag-drop. lol.

But for "syncing" AirSync by DoubleTwist is about the best one I know of.

They still make nice phones, just not for developers or modders. Or people that like to be on at least a semi-recent software version.

I thought until recently all Motorola phones had locked bootloaders since the original Droid? The only thing I see the Droid Maxx is for the ridiculous battery life..

I have all my music sorted into folders by artist name, so that does complicate things. In any case, thanks for the suggestion.

Anyone know how to get the stock 2.3 music player back onto Android? I hate the Apollo one included with CM10 and I don't really like Rocket Player?

Google Play Music, then just check "On device only"? It's one of the few music players that actually hook into CM's DSP Manager and Android's lock screen controls. Plus on JB CM10 it has a really nice widget for the notification shade controls.

So, Motorola isn't updating the Atrix 2 to JB. It's got ICS and JB is an iteration on ICS, mostly, and the hardware is basically a Galaxy Nexus's internals with a lower resolution screen. Absolutely no sense. I am so fed up with this company.

They still have encrypted bootloaders. For non Verizon devices, anything from the Sprint Photon Q forward will be able to be unencrypted via a web tool a'la HTC Dev.

You've got to be kidding me..that thing just came out...

I actually think they're just cutting off most everything done "pre" Google in an attempt to focus on the latest releases and devices going forward. It's tough for users expecting an update that's for sure.

Talk about slow updates from Motorola, Gingerbread was out when my Moto XPRT was released but they went with Froyo.

They finally updated it to Gingerbread... last month.

It depends on what you want to do with it...for watching Youtube/Netflix, browsing the web and reading emails, it's good. Probably not my first choice for the more intricate 3D games like Shadowrun or Playstation emulation but it'll run them in a pinch.

It has the same specs as a Galaxy Nexus. It's a little old. I wouldn't get it unless it's at a very good price.

I'm afraid that if you don't overclock the GTab 2 you won't be impressed with it either. It's a nice basic tablet, but it's GPU can't keep up with a lot of things.

If your children are quite young, I recommend looking at the Nabi 2: Features of the nabi 2 tablet for kids

It's $199 and I bought one last week for my three year old niece and it's surprisingly fast and quite feature laden for the price. She still hasn't destroyed it yet and her parents are quite pleased with it. If you're in the U.S., Walmart and Target carries them.

Try a different kernel. You need to remember than Android uses RAM like Windows prefetch. So you're going to see "high RAM usage" regardless of whether or not you use a task manager. Suspended apps are still held in RAM, just not using any CPU resources.

I'm thinking it's just your phone doesn't like the voltages the stock CM kernel uses. Some do, some don't.

I never had RAM problems with the stock Gingerbread image from T-Mobile. I would clear it but it would rarely spike to the 550MB+ (where the RAM usage shows orange) and my phone really slows down. That being said once I went to ICS or Jellybean, it wasn't as noticeable I just saw my RAM usage up all the time but I still do clear it from time to time.

It looks like the Blaze recently got momentum for development support, as there is no kernel for JB and only a few for ICS. Personally I would have gone with the debloated ICS firmware if you didn't have any particular issues with Touchwiz or the factory software itself.

    Android ICS 4.0.4 UVLH5 for SGH-T769 Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G - xda-developers

As far as CM10 for this phone goes, I read the last few pages of the thread and you might be experiencing the infamous 'Sleep of Death' that some users are reporting on ROMs compiled prior to the 17th. Try flashing the latest ROM with a factory reset and see if it persists.

If it's sleepdeath like TailGunner said, it's kernel voltages. Since this is still in beta for the Blaze, it's voltage tables are probably still being tweaked. They've got to find that happy medium between stable voltages and ones that give you decent battery life.

AND DON'T TOUCH A TASK MANAGER IF YOU'RE ON ICS OR JB. AHHH!!

The one advantage the Tab 2 has is an SD card slot. The 8GB tablets don't have much space left with the OS taking up about 3GB.

This is what I mainly dislike about some newcomers. They blame the Android OS as a whole for their own mistakes. Now I kind of know why XDA is so strict regarding noobs.

Looks good, although I really don't see it being a One device. Evo 4G LTE gets a pass since the internals are the same as the One X, but the internals on the DLX are different.

Only question will be whether Verizon will let HTC offer a way to unlock it?

Judging by recent device launches, my guess will be no, but there will be a expensive dev. edition w/ unencrypted bootloader that only 3 people will buy.

LOL. The Rezound group got lucky, but I would be surprised to see them offer this again given the trend with Motorola and Samsung devices.

...So I finally got someone to take that iPhone off my hands. Got the RAZR MAXX HD and am glad to be back on an Android handset again.

I just wish it had a rear camera...and was about $50 cheaper....I had looked at this one but it deserves another look.

Yeah I'm definitely returning the Fun Tab Pro its got screen damage and has some other issues but am very interested to see if anything other than the rumors are true. I'd be all over a $99 8Gb Nexus 7 but I doubt that will happen unless its carrier subsidized.

My kid won't really know the difference but I want something that's worth having especially if the price isn't all that far apart.

I'm considering getting one of those just can't make up my mind, the wife is loving her Razr M and it is a decent size but I think I'd like the Maxx for the better resolution and battery. But it would be nice to see Verizon get over locked boot loaders its just so nice to have the 3 R's...root, rom and recovery

I don't really care about the benchmarks (i'm more of a real world performance guy) but it's still interesting to see a comparison.

Yeah but if it's a kids tablet it wouldn't matter much, unless you wanted to tinker with it on the side for fun :p

If you're familiar with Android, they're fairly simple to root (plenty of guides out there) and usually have a pretty good community backing. My brother is using a Kindle Fire (1st G) running AOKP ICS and it's pretty slick and stable.

For some reason, the RAZR M is becoming a very popular choice for the female gender. My mother abandoned her iPhone for one and I have a couple of female colleagues that have the M as well, and they love it. With the casing design appearing somewhat industrial and not as sleek as the iPhone, I'm surprised at how many women I've seen with one.

As for the new MAXX, the battery life on this thing is ridiculous. I've had nearly two hours of screen time, left WiFi on and have two email accounts synced with about 600 messages sent and received today so far. The phone has been running on battery for 15 hours and 54 minutes with the battery level at 82%. Mind is blown.

The newer Fire models have locked and signed bootloaders that haven't, and likely WON'T be, cracked, a la Motorola.

Whats the screen usage? I can go 24 hours without using my screen and still have 75-80% remaining.

Han odd experience today with my phone. I was using it normally, then when i went to turn off the screen, it just wouldn't turn off. the power button and stopped working altogether. It started working only after I took apart the phone completely (unscrewing the back and taking it off) and pushed the tiny button inside the phone a couple times, then put everything back together. Now all seems well.
