Perfect! Everything went smooth, no error messages, no issues.... CCC is working as a charm.
12.3 driver pack is as smooth as Sony official one![]()
Great work!
Cheers,
Miki

I have to add that the installation is really smooth and unproblematic. Download comes with one file that you just execute, follow through a couple of 20 second reboots and there you go. The system also remembered my monitor setup so I had to adjust absolutely nothing.
Great work! -
12.3 driver pack works like charm, Thank you very much
-
So 12.3 is better than 12.1 on vaio z?
-
Thanks. Driver installed smoothly. Just out of curiosity, should my windows experience index improve after the installation? Cheers
-
-
Can this 12.3 version used for VPCCB 17FG ( AMD Graphic Card 6630M )?

WEI score doesn't mean anything. seriously.

@leshcat: i've asked this before, but do you have any new information on how to enable core voltage tweaking on the new drivers? it's been disabled on 11.10 and onward drivers.
-
@RedDevil_1999
You never know what win7 will doIt really does not matter, trust me. You can "tweak" bench results via registry if u wanna. Just google.
@darxide_sorcerer
I dont know any way (except disassembling and creating patch for sys, but who knows to what it may lead) to enable it back, since i think its not config issue.
Relax man, i "fried" 3 lappies with overlcocking, and in my opinion, its really not good idea to oc on Notebooks. Typical results: decreased battery life, overall overheat, faster degrading of cooling sysem, which is by itself weak construction. -
darxide_sorcerer Notebook Deity
yes, i understand your point about overclocking a laptop's GPU, but i play Battlefield 3 on my VAIO SA, and i need the overclock. besides, my overclocks become stable when i increase the core voltage by just 4mV from 0.9V to 0.904V with the temperatures below 85C. and once i'm done gaming, i return back to the stock clocks. so i think it's pretty safe.
but anyway, thanks a lot for the confirmation. i'll just stick with the old drivers then. -
Catalyst 12.3 Pre-WHQL UnifL updated:
- ATI driver version 8.96.0000
- YUC updated till 1.6.1. Better recognition and clean up.
- Minor config changes. -
Thanks so much for this... running 12.3 and it's running stable.
-
Beware, these drivers do not work with Windows 8 Consumer Preview. (Sony drivers do not work as well)
-
-
darxide_sorcerer Notebook Deity
try this, maybe.
-
It still crashes when trying to install. Perhaps the gods can figure out how to tweak these drivers as they did the others.
-
-
yes please windows 8 !
i am so frustrated that the battery life is now less than 3 hours because the ( judging from the noise ) the video card is always on !
i tryed sonys drivers and this set... both didnt work
is there any way to just turn the video card off ( i dont want to remove win8.. )
note : using vpc sa, fan is always on and in heat....... i am really considring selling it thought i have it for 3 weeks now -
@mak1
I've tested it, DSE has nothing to do with it. -
-
AMD has WDDM 1.2 drivers for AMD FirePro, Radeon, A-series & E-series APU's
AMD Ready for Windows 8.
Apparently Intel drivers related, some have reported successful installations with mod."igdlh64.inf", code to remove is in bold red:

@cherrybombaz
maybe its related to the new installation method.
@mak1
Yes, this will method will unlock installation for win8. -
@leshcat
could u please look at this Intel graphics, is it worth it for UnifL update... It added the 23.976Hz rate which improve Bluray play back.
Thanx -
@mak1
I am aware of its existence, (there are even newer, mainly for ivy so useless for now), yet, for example it was embended in 12.1 v2.7 and created fatal problems to old models.
I think i found workaround so most likely will be present in next WHQL release. -
^
Good to know. -
Problems with the 12.x (2/28) version:
o Right-click context menu font was changed (something thin and scratchy).
o Toolbar went to wrong (i.e. non-main) monitor.
o CCC version was "minimal" (i.e. only HydraVision tabs).
Reverted back to previous release. -
12.2 WHQL UnifL is out
-
^
get it here or better visit leshcat blog ... and Donate!
thanks Leshcat -
Tried a straight install but it didn't take.
Then ran the YUC procedure and then an install. Went just fine. -
^
did u install the fix as well? -
-
Yes, otherwise you ll get sad picture
Your line is separated and as far as i know operates properly.
-
Request:
My two side monitors, both off of the PMD, are rotated vertically. They are both set to portrait mode.
Each time I run YUC the various DisableRotation flags are reset to DWORD 1 and I have to go through Regedit and set them back to 0. Is there any way to build in that sort of option?
Thx -
@miki69
did u test HDMI? -
@rmcx
Please specify flags names and i ll add it to inf. -

This flag is present only in 1 location of inf, i might zero it for ya in next update which will come soon i hope.
Didnt see any other "*Rotate*" flags.
Lets see if it ll help your case. -
OK!

hmm where can i find a list of supported laptops?
Does it allow dynamic switchable graphics like in macbook pro or will i still have to use the SPeed/Stamina switch on my VAIO SA? -
Yes I did (both Intel and ATI) and it's working as a charm. No issues whatsoever.
Cheers,
Miki -
@TeamFTL
Dynamic switch should be supported on BIOS level. If you dont have it, no driver will help you.
There is no list, driver is unified (UnifL = Unif (Unified) + L (me)) for everyone with slight separation - Sony Laptops have very specific config, so in order to keep driver for everyone, i ve decided for section separation.
Still, only way to know for sure - is to use it.
@All
UP5 is actually completed. Needs some testing 1st. But i guess it should be just fine for your lappies. -
UP5 is finally online.
-
-
none for Z2.
installation options for other models -
@rmcx
Where did you get 12.5 UnifL? Can i have a link?! -
Umm, wishful thinking?
-
What's UP5?
e: duh, I guess it means update 5? -
The latest ones works fine with my Z2 and Win7 Ultimate!
But one error occurs:
My Z has the internal 1600*900 screen, my external panel can get 1920*1080! When I switch the external to the FHD I have black spares around the visible field...
Does someone has this too and fixed it?
Ah fixed it with the ATI override
Universal Driver set for all Switchable (Intel/ATI) Graphics!
