I couldn't stay awake to download FF3 by the time it is released. So I'm downloading it now. :) But I just download and not install, because I want to just update my RC3, and it says no update is available?

Feel fast I agree, but I think is not.
I don't like the position of the refresh button.
Don't like the theme, I need another one and is urgent.

The RAM usage is still more. Just with one window (Yahoo) open, it's around 63 MB. In IE 7 this is only 27 MB.

I don't have a problem downloading it. And fast too.

Question: What changes Mozilla made between RC3 and Final?

Wowzah! I wasn't even paying attention to the counter. Am I right by saying there are even more downloads than there were pledges?

Am I the only one who thinks its super weird to have back history arrow beside the forward button instead of the back button?

This question again: What changes Mozilla made from RC3 to Final? or they just copy RC3?

I didn't notice it is actually a history of Back actually, I thought it was history for Forward, due to the location of the arrow. Until I've read about it on lifehacker.

I would also suggest that you unistall it before installing FF3.

Here is a Mozilla KB article on how the unistall FF(it also mentions how to remove the user profile data-bookmarks, passwords, preference settings and added extensions). Before removing the profile data, make sure you make a copy/backup of it.

Like I said in the earlier posts.

The CRC32 and MD5 hash shows that the FF3 final is the same as the FF3 RC3.

I installed FF3 last night and I'm loving it! Fast startup, nice new theme, improved memory usage, and my personal fave... the Awesome Bar! I can indulge in lazy web surfing by just typing in the name of the site instead of the whole url. Genius! :D

Is the Mozilla Firefox 3 download counter accurate?

Right now its showing over 6,449,016 downloads!

And yeah it does appear that memory usage for FF 3.0 is on the high side, I just hope they fixed the memory leaks.

I'll get the Adblock add one, what else is there that I really should get?

Over six million downloads already. And PicLens is amazing, and even better if they have Windows 7 out (touch surface).

I've been able to do that with FF2.

Everything you mentioned about FF3, I feel the same although the memory usage is not as low as Opera 9.5 but it is improved.

You know one thing that FF3 doesn't do which Opera 9.5 does and is a cool feature. If you type something in the address bar it does a mini search based on the name you entered.

For example I typed miamihearld in the address bar. While typing "miami" I got a drop down within the address bar pertaining to miami at that moment which might pertain to miami.

Don't get me wrong I like FF3 or FF2 but Opera does some nice things as well.

Nope, it basically put's in your favorite sites within the bar. Sort of like Superfetch in Vista. :p

Don't get me wrong I like the FF3 address bar feature as well but Opera's is also pretty cool too.
