Intel Drivers Updates

Adrenaline driver is working great on AMD low end GPUs like my sister has m330. I used to game on it. Still play on it, only worse fps is due to Win 10 RS2. On RS1 any game ran great at 30 fps. On RS2 fps is below 25. I needed a hefty 200MHz OC on Core clocks to get the old fps of 30-35 on RS2. Papusan beware of W10 upgrade assistant being shipped in RS2 build 726 and above that silently updates to RS3. The folder is under C:\Windows\ Windows 10 Upgrade or something

Clean installed RS3 long time ago. Still a GP for this colorful Win Pastel Trash. And I check all updates. I never run updates first day. Never ever!!

 

did you manually add your power plans or are you running on the Balanced power plan?

 

No time for GP'ing RS3, I skipped RS3 and on RS2 on all PCs.

They fixed stuttering and improved Intel QuickSync/Media Codec for better battery life. I'm in need of better battery life, I think I beat Dell's advertised battery life of 10.5 hrs. I managed to get 11 hrs. With display brightness at min 25% I can manage upto 13 hrs.

Well its a taptop like in the spoiler. After getting a new battery from AW/Dell the runtimes are impressive.

100W on ChokeBooks? They can't even cool sub 100W GPUs correctly with shared heatsink.
If they use separate heatsink then there might be a chance of enjoying the ChokeBooks.

I found a peculiar entry called Intel Shader Cache in this location C:\ProgramData\Intel\ShaderCache
So, maybe clearing it will fix strange stutters on optimus.
I have asked Pete Wagnard to add this entry in DDU cleaning.

"Guys, I was having some performance issues with Doom, I tried a few different methods, but what I found solved it, and fixed framerates that had somehow dropped under overclock, was to purge the shader cache, somehow some bad shader code or settings must have gotten into that cache. This may work for others experiencing performance issues that they can't seem to resolve.

To reset shader cache, go to global graphics, global settings, press reset, and click the option to reset the shader cache

Happy to now report 130 fps max in Doom, and 105 fps max in Forza: Apex, both at 1440p full settings."

uhhh, I don't have Optimus to start with

My laptop either tuns the Intel or the nVIDIA via a reboot/switch, they don't run together so no issues there.

I don't even have that shader cache folder

 

Newer AMD+Intel and Intel+Nvidia has them as well. Then again, Intel using this feature isn't shown to me in their iGPU CPL.

Don't even have that folder. Also Wagnard suffers from this stuttering issue as well and wasn't able to fix it either.

 

I am using 15.60 driver and on prev. driver I didn't see a thing.

 

But will you swap your GPU by the way? Or are you waiting for the new batch? Rumored to be released in a few months?

 

I wait for 8 cores + Second gen Nvidia. But will continue use my other computers as they are. If I get a good deal on new GPU I will take that as well.

BHopefully the current chipset will still accept those. Intel is kinda cheating. claiming that the Skylake and Kaby lake chipsets cant run the 6 core CPU's while motehrboard manufacturers say they can but it is blocked by Intel.

 

None know. But Intel is pushed by AMD. They need a real kick in their ASSS.

I unistalled XTU because it always wrecked TS and was eating 200MB of SSD space.

 

Alienware killed fully TS functionality with their last cancer firmware for last models. Xtu startup task needed. They crippling everything they touch. Can’t do proper oc in bios or TS. And worse it will be!!

 

Which BIOS version. I didn't install their homemade BIOS but installed the one which Daz(Daz loader) gave me. Thanks for round-off score.

Same philosophy from Dell Camp. Awesomeness come last. Mind you... You couldn’t even upgrade from Skylake to Kaby in a desktop from Dellienware. They used expensive components on MB, but couldn’t validate firmware for refreshed Cpu. And Skylake and Kaby was virtually same chips. If this ain’t a Joke, nothing can be a joke.

 

Not a surprise since they might conflict with each other, doing about the same job affecting the same settings.

You could have uninstall TS as the conflicting software as well..

 

XTU can't disable BD PROCHOT. And all know how older Dellbooks works
