Intel Drivers Updates

Already on DCH drivers. I have migrated every drivers to UWD except AW Command center drivers and their SDKs.

I installed it manually and no problems after re-start.

This version gives worse performance than the previous ones. I've tested before and after using AS SSD Benchmark.

 

Quick question about Serial IO drivers…
I didn't bother installing these since the Windows drivers were newer than the ones Acer provided - no surprise Acer since Acer EOL'd my machine.
Anyways, what are they for and should I bother trying to find a more up to date version?

FYI. No need to install the Chipset Device Software if you are on already installed OS (in use), unless the Device Manager shows any "missing driver" flag. Download and save it for your next OS install.

I'm just pointing out...

 

You need to understand how things works. I good source is the readme files. Intel release new installer each months. But this doesn't mean new INF being added for your hardware.
FYI. This isn't an pure driver as you think it is. And nor any impact on the performance of a system.

I'm sorry for confusion I guess I will blame intel for that... he is the one(Intel) who is confusing all of us... in there own website... they only posted valid for server machines

 

Intel doesn't offer dowload links with Chipset Device Software anymore (they don't even make own hardware as Intel desktop motherboard anymore). Drivers being delivered directly to OEM's and Redmond HQ. You won't see it released for download publicly.

If you find latest Chipset software incl INF for todays consumer products on their own support webpage... Please post the link. All you will find is for old products.

 

Updating chipset SW isn't really recommended anymore. I did that few days ago since I uninstalled it after Visual studio was the cause of lockscreen bug. Had to delete some protected folders so it took some msi installers based apps to oblivion. Had to install them to get some drivers properly identified.

 

Can I install this version on LTSB? Been itching to update my graphic driver but no supported updates
Also I don't plan to upgrade to LTSC anytime soon, too many things that I need to backup

Have you tried it though? From my experience, anything higher than .6286 and I couldn't open the control panel. Also, games wouldn't open up.

 

You need to download Intel control panel from MS Store for DCH drivers.

He is using LTSB Windows edition so... there is no MS Store

 

You can add MS Store easily using chef koch repo.

Tested, and confirmed it does not work with LTSB
The control panel only stays at initializing and wont open, neither do games.

Hmmmm... have you tried to use older versions that's non DCH drivers ? Does it still have this problem?

 

Upgrade to LTSC 2019 aka v1809 using Annual Targeting. If you want stability skip v1809 and stick with older drivers.

Papusan Thanks for keeping us updated. I wanted to ask and get your recommendation for a stable intel graphic driver for my Intel HD Graphic 530 Driver. I am still using Driver version 25.20.100.6373. It's been awhile since I have updated. I wanted to know which is the most recent stable driver that you are aware of. I also recently learned and have a bit of idea about the DCH nonsense of MS. Any driver that you can recommend? Thanks in advance. ^_^

 

You can certainly try latest Intel DCH Command center drivers. It works on 19H1 buggy build as well.

Hey bruh, why the need to install new iGPU drivers as long you don't have problems? Don't fix what's not broken. Or better say... ‘ If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it.’


FYI... I don't run hardware whitch need or have iGPU.

Battery life improvements and finally Optimus switching is not laggy anymore on DCH build. Held it off for so long and I'm happy.

 

And this driver will work perfectly on all Optimus notebooks with 1809 Train Wreck OS or coming tragedy 1903 ? Damn happy I don't have iGPU! And on top... I don't like support M$ propritary trash.

 

Yes bare minimum OS is v1803 and above. I'm running it on 19H1 w/o any issues aside from Intel command center, its fairly new and takes time to get used to.

 

You mean you have tested it with all Optimus notebooks out there? All brands and all models. From 2010 and up until now. Nope, I don't think so. I don't believe in Santa Claus. Maybe +48 years ago but not now

 

I have with me Ivybridge, Haswell,Broadwell and Skylake laptops only. SO DCH is Skylake+ models only rest are normal non-DCH drivers.
Maybe Santa Claus is Gaming on RTX with RTX enabled on all games.
