Intel Drivers Updates

Basically just wanted to be updated on whats going on. LOL. Also the new 19H1 is coming and wanted to be aware how bad it is and also the drivers that would go along with it eg. igpu driver. Main reason is if my cousin wants to update his laptop I can give him options. To the lastest crap or to the bearable crap.. HAHAHA.. Also I have downloaded Ultra Males latest redstone 5 OS. hahahaha..

Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel® XTU) Version: 6.5.1.321 (Latest) Date: 3/27/2019

Changes
1. Ability to read the default P0 Voltage.
2. Removed HPET reliance while monitoring in XTU.
3. XTU 6.5.1.321 has been updated to include SQLite3 version 3.27.2, zlib version 1.2.11, which includes functional and security updates. Users should update to the latest version.

Know Issues:
 Integrated graphics stress test has been removed for this version of XTU. It is still available for v6.4.1.24

Intel Graphic Driver dated 03/19/2019 on the download page, but once installed the Graphics Driver in Device Manager is dated 10/29/2018

That`s over 5 months older than they are dated.

• Intel MEI Driver v1912.12.0.1247 (Windows 10) INF for manual installation

 

I ran the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant and it said it has an much newer video driver than the one installed on my new "Beelink Gemini X45 Premium 6GB DDR4 RAM 128G SSD" Mini PC, It has an Intel J4005 CPU with the Intel UHD 600 Graphics.

Once installed there is a problem with the new DCH graphic drivers they do not contain the Intel control panel, The Intel website says to download the Intel Control Panel from the Windows store but after install still no control panel or taskbar icon, and when you try and manual run the control panel you get a not compatible error, The Intel Control Panel from the Windows store get a very low score, 1 or 2 stars as nobody can get it to work.

where can i download a compatible control panel?

I think there are now two different Microsoft Store Intel control panels.

Intel Graphics Control Panel
Intel Graphics Command Center

The latter is newer and is slated to replace the Control Panel, but still in beta form.

I couldn't get the regular Control Panel to work for a while, then it suddenly started working after the last couple of updates (UHD630 on my desktop). Annoyingly, that same older DCH driver that broke the Control Panel also broke Quicksync. This made ASIC video encoding and decoding impossible, and reverting the drivers didn't work (since the DCH drivers left a lot of stuff that isn't removed by any, and I mean ANY, driver uninstall/cleaning/purging, etc). Luckily, someone found the exact files to remove.

Either way, it's all in the past now. I also upgraded my desktop GPU to something Turing based and have never touched Intel's Quicksync since.

 

Intel 6708 and above use Intel CC panel instead of Graphics control panel.

 

I have a problem with intel driver for gc 620 UHD on my laptop with windows 1809 LTSC

that my settings for the image quality of DXVA is not registered, so I have to to apply a .reg file at each boot to disable their default settings. Is there a newer version for the 620 UHD?



My other problem is that I run windows LTSC, so how do I update the graphic driver while still accessing the GUI by intel to configure the card since I do not have windwos store ?

currently I have driver 25.20.100.6374 and w10 LTSC 1809 downloads the old GUI, but with new driver, no GUI is downloaded.

 

For LTSC, I recommend old driver with old GUI, the new UI is buggy at times. Sometimes settings don't persist.

This installer package is dated 04/30/2019 and contains the "latest" WHQL certified INF files for all Intel Chipsets from 6-Series up.

FYI. No need to install the Chipset Device Software on already running OS, unless the Device Manager shows any "missing driver" flag. Download and save for your next OS install. Or if you'll do clean install of coming OS version.

Can you educate me.. ^_^
I never update my Intel MEI Driver and was wondering if I should. Is it necessary? My current Intel MEI Driver is 11.7.0.1057 from Dell driver page dated 19/11/2017.

 

Its needed during MEIFW update.

I'm on latest INF driver and latest MEIFW for little snappiness. If Dell releases new BIOS update with spoiler update skip for it for now. I bricked my PC twice and needed SPI flasher. I was even locked out from writing to SPI Chip for couple of times.

 

Was curious and did abit of reading. Basically I dont really need to touch Intel MEI for my daily use. Will only updated if needed. Thanks as always..

 

To fix security bugs and prevent lockouts of BIOS SPI chip. I was locked out of it yesterday after my BIOS flashing went haywire.

Clean installed 18362.30 and installed the same driver.

 

I don't understand what's the point of update the intel Graphics drivers, because players use the Nvidia graphics card so Nvidia Driver...

I update the driver ( Intel® Graphics - Windows® 10 DCH Drivers Version: 26.20.100.6861 ), but can't install from windows store the control panel. Got a pur authentification failure... I had the control panel before, with the 25.20.100.6373 from December, was still there...

Any thought ?

( FYI i don't have a microsoft account, but i remember i could install Nahimic, i did a clean install with Ultra Male guides the 1st day i receive my pc, removed telemetry, Cortana, search tab... use WUMT for patch Win 10, did some tweaks...)

 

Download from the MS Store "Intel Graphic Command Center" for DCH drivers, Not the "Intel Graphic Control Center"

The right click on desktop for graphics is gone with DCH Drivers, "Intel Graphic Command Center" will either give you a taskbar icon though (startup) or just search and pin to taskbar ect.

I did it , and didn't worked, same bug

 

I have only found it in the store and i spent a week searching, My Win10 Store was missing and i had to re-install it so i could download the Command Center myself.

Try cleaning and re-installing the graphic driver then see if you can download the command center.

This is the recommended driver for the early access release of the brand-new Intel® Graphics Command Center. "If not already installed, this driver will add the Intel® Graphics Command Center to the system".

Maybe worth a try. I haven't iGPU so I can't check it out for you

 

This is the driver i installed yesterday, I think i still had to use the Microsoft Store to get the Graphics Command Center, But i might be mistaken.

Yeah, I can't say yes or no because I don't have iGPU. Bro @j95 make Nvidia Control center mods so you don't have to use or install Windows Store. Maybe similar mods can be done for the Intel Graphics Command Center as well. Maybe he can put a light on this.

 

Have you uninstalled UWP apps? You need Win update service running otherwise updating won't work.

Also tried it and no graphics command center. Tsk. will use just the old driver. I dont really want to turn on windows update as it will cause a mess. I am happy with my bloatware free OS from Ultra Male.

 

Thanks for trying to solve our problem. As usual, i don't like files on the net not coming from the creator, even windows xD. What i did, is in power shell, reinstall all 3 Store you told me (Store Purchase/Store engagement/MS store) with this command :

Add-AppxPackage -register "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\******\AppxManifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode

Pointing the files in the ***** but didn't worked. I open M.Store and refused to add intel command center, but ask me to update Nahimic and the store itself. Same as 2 days ago, before i image my os.

Will keep the "Old" control panel from intel and old driver igpu, still present on my SSD Clone for now.

Is there a demo mode option in the new "Intel Graphic Command Center"

As when i play a video using MPC player i get split in the colour down (right side high saturation) the middle of the screen that shows up best when i increase the saturation level in MPC player

I have reset MPC player to default settings and it`s still showing.

My second computer is still using the older ""Intel Graphic Control Center" and is using MPC player and does not have the demo split screen problem.

I should really download VLC and see if it shows the same.

EDIT: I checked the settings in "Intel Graphic Command Center" but there is no demo setting or anything that would cause the split screen problem.

I tried VLC but i dont know how to adjust the saturation to make the split screen definitely show up, I could not really see the problem with standard colour settings.

So i removed the latest "Intel Graphic Command Center" driver and went back to the older "Intel UHD Graphic Control Center" and now the demo split-screen in MPC player is gone and back to normal and when i turn the saturate up full it affects the entire screen not just the right hand side.

Intel has updated its Intel RST driver. In short: Systems with driver version 15.9.x, 16.0.x, 16.5.x or 16.7.x should be updated to the latest version.

Fixed some issues. For example: The system will display "No OS" after the first boot. or 0xA0 Error checking when entering S4 and S5 Fast Startup. The list is very long so I link once the PDF. Because even the list of known problems is very long. But always applies only to certain versions of Windows.

It did improve my startup time by 3-5 secs. Its better than staring at dotted loading screen.
