Yea, you will. I'll take Gaz' spot, then get bumped back down to 4th lol.
I need to start collecting some stuff. Don't even remember what mobo and CPU chips I have, but I'd like to get it going.
-
-
So close to 100,000 points... I wish I had been able to fold during winter break; now I'm struggling to get back in the top ten (just reached it yesterday iirc).
-
Yay, took over 3rd place, just in time for Thierry19 to knock me back down to 4th
-
Keep going, the more we arr the better it is!
Hehe, congrats on making it to the top 3, +rep! -
Yea, I haven't been folding as much (I only have my NP8662 going) because I figured I was going to need my NP8130 for work. Now that I know I don't (because they provide a computer), I can resume my regularly scheduled folding
.
Jason -
Ouch, down to number 5 I go lol.
-
Hey everyone,
Just a heads up! This thread is one of 18 amazing threads nominated in the NBR Amazing Content Contest! There's some stiff competition this thread is up against...
http://forum.notebookreview.com/roundup/641438-nbr-amazing-content-contest.html -
Darn, I have to choose between the 3820TG owner's lounge and this one
-
Already choose F@H. Most of the other choices were notebook-specific
-
Voted! NBR F@h!
-
N@F got my vote
-
Kade Storm The Devil's Advocate
*Looks at epic list of threads.*
Folding@Home? Yar! -
Voted for F@H. Still wins over the 3820tg lounge by that tiny bit
-
TurbodTalon Notebook Virtuoso
What all are you folding on DR? You are back in 3rd!
-
we're back at full folding power! NP8130 / SMP8, and NP8662 SMP / GPU!
Jason -
Just my M11x, and My M17x R2. But Gaz slowed his roll for a bit as he took a system off line. I'll be dropping back soon as we have some major players coming up now
-
I can't hope to go very high up in the rankings, a single GT540m won't hold a candle against the powerhouses here
-
I find it much better to work with smaller WUs. Kinda annoying doing the 12hr+ ones on my desktop when I need it.
The ones I have been getting lately all goes for around 1.5~2hrs with a low base credit, but I get through a lot of them during the day.
-
540M can fold quite nice, 3-4 WU if it's on 24/7 and each has the value of 1325points which is nice
-
Yea, thought i needed a rig for work... but now i'm back in full power.
Jason -
So, I did not fold last night because I was installing my second desktop, (and I went out with friends to come back at 4am). But now that everything is working again, I should have both my computer folding
-
Woo, I'm up to 100,000 points!
-
Almost at the 1k mark w00t!
-
bigtonyman Desktop Powa!!!
just started to get into this and I have it installed and running, but idk if im doing anything right.
-
Make sure you get a passkey. Should be running on the CPU(SMP) and GPU
-
bigtonyman Desktop Powa!!!
just got the passkey setup and im running at that setting, guess ill make due with my 2630 till ivy bridge comes out and the prices on the 2920 drops.

I have the 2670QM. Can ThrottleStop do anything for this chip like it does for my 920XM?
-
Weird, my second computer folding @ home client shows an "unknown" ETA, estimated credit and base credit.
Any idea what it is? -
No idea, all my GPU's show that for my R2 and M11x
-
's normal I think... Mine do it too
Jason -
So i guess today is the big day: 1017 of 208942
Looks like we are braking into the top 1000 of teams
I`ll keep my system folding @ full speed all day long! -
bigtonyman Desktop Powa!!!
Don't think throttle stop can do much for that processor since the multipliers are locked. You need a 2920/2960 to overclock sadly.
-
Even on 2920/2960XM TS can`t OC them without bios support.
It`s unlocked multi is useless on my sytem because of Clevo...
-
OC laptop is a bad idea. Desktops are made for such thing. Have you tried to increase the bus speed?
-
I guess there is no chance either...bios is so locked down and no luck with AmiBCP as it isn`t even in the bios...even dumping NVRAM with AMISCE was disabled...
I hope time will be on our side to get things to work in the future...

This is kind of an old school of thought. A few years ago, yeah, it was kind of a stupid idea to do it.
These laptops are fully capable of having to the crap OC'd out of them. -
bigtonyman Desktop Powa!!!
only if you redo dells crappy paste job
I forgot to redo mine once it came back from the depot, but once I get my 2920 later this year we will see how true this statement is.
-
My only concern is the PSU.
-
Team #1002
So close!
Good job everyone.
Ayle is still getting a huge amount of credit everyday! -
Team 1001...

-
bigtonyman Desktop Powa!!!
Great job guys,
-
Woot! Woot! Moving on up! Great job everyone!!!
-
With 33 machines, we somehow broke into top 1000
Nice job everyone
-
I have to suspicion that reborn2003 through Ayle have rooms in their homes with a rack of computers dedicated to just F@H >.>.
Folding constantly from this thread's start to today (with a break during Winter Break) with my Quadro 2000M only gave me 100k points, or #10 on the list thus far. -
TurbodTalon Notebook Virtuoso
Thierry, you are coming up the ranks quickly! Are you running the rigs in your signature? Good job man.
-
Hehe, thanks!
I am pretty much always folding with my main rig (i7 2700k + GTX 570) which gives me about 30k credits every day. I now have a second desktop made with old stuff (i5 750 + 9600GT) which is running most of the time too (unless I am using it).
I noticed your high Credit/WU ratio. It's pretty impressive O_O Most of the WU I get for my CPU are very low on credits, but also quickly done! -
I just started..
My "Workstation" will finally be at work.
Can we get one of these "widgets" in our sigs to let people know that powerhouses can be put to a good cause?
And to flaunt a bit at our rankings, too.
