I'm still not on the list :(

EDIT: Now I am on the list, but it shows that I only completed 1 WU when I already completed 3 and should have 3.9k points or so. Ahh well.

I have a lot more work units to be loaded too. From my understanding there are many servers responsible for sending/recieving work units, so when it updates, it may not recieve all the info from every server to push through the update. So there seems to be a delay. This may be caused because the systems are still catching up from all the down time.

@ganzonomy, you may have more to be loaded, but some of it I think depends on turn around time, and I believe you get more bonus points the faster your system processes and returns the unit. You probably have some better ones sitting in a server ready to be loaded. Also the system may assign based on computer specs. I don't know, are you running your CPU and GPU? and what client?

Anyone know if you only get bonus points if your using a passkey? I really need to set that up if you do. Not sure if the SMP2 client applies to F@H V7

Chief would be killing this if he had all his systems running the same name :p

EDIT: I wish there was a way for me to add the team standings in the original post and have them auto update with the team standings. I'd love to keep it up to date, but with updates every hour, just not practical. :( Is there any way?

    Thanks, PVT.

So I was curious, and it looks like folding, may cost me $1/day.

I checked the Dominion Appliance Energy Usage Calculator and input it as 400w 24/7 and it looks like my bill may go up $30. Not to bad. 500w 24/7 would be $36/mo added. I have my systems plugged into a strip, which is plugged into a kilowatt meter, so I'll need to check how many watts I'm pulling tonight :D

I'm using my P9700 / 260m combo (see sig... it's the rig on top) and i'm running the v7 client, set up for smp and gpu (since it's a dual-core and a 112-core GPU).

As for passkey, you get a massive bonus with a passkey.

Damn, I need a Passkey! Also, maybe you only had a few small, CUDA should be knocking out some WU. Perhaps you just got connected to a server that had a bunch of priority smaller WU.

Super stuff guys we're moving up the rankings really quickly!

That would be great if you could link the live stats table on the 1st post somehow.

    Folding@home - FAQ-passkey

Where can I get a passkey?

    http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/getpasskey.py
Note: The passkey request form is case sensitive.

Hmmm so a passkey for Bonus credits huh hmmmm............ :p
Good work everyone keep it up oles!

For extra credit WU's I'm pretty sure a few pages back DR posted that we can add the
    "client-type"
    "advanced"
into the GPU slot section and that way it will search for higher WU credit projects to fold.

    Cheers. :)

Also reborn your running alot more clients so yea, you would be crushing us. My goal is to surpass the old NBR team that seems to have died off in 2008-2009 time frame. I don't even recognize any of the Usernames. :p

HAHAh lol Cheers DR! It's a TEAM effort. I reckon we can crush the old NBR team for sure! :p No disrespect lol!

I just got my passkey. I might try it out tomorrow. I think we will have to uninstall and then reinstall the client again. However we can keep the data.
I want to see our new team hit the top 100 in the team rankings. Now that would be phenomenal!!!

A pretty great start by us ALL.

WE CAN DO IT! I have 6 folded wu's already, but i think what's killing me is i'm only on a dualcore. If I could get my NP8130 on board without the client going  to the 560m (it's not whitelisted or even listed, several 560m users are complaining about it), I'd have a LOT more points due to SB and a full-fermi GPU.

Hmm, is there a way to disable the integrated GPU? Than F@H may default to the 560M. I do see on the foldingforum that there is chatter about optimus and whitelisting. That GPU would definately help a ton.

EDIT: Got my sig updated. Found that I could chop a few charaters by going with condense.it rather than condensit.com :p Tring to get my sig updated for more visibility on the folding link :D Takes a lot of juggling to have a sig with two images and 10 links  been working on it for quite sometime

Also, a list of advanced options that you could use if you want more points :)

Hmm, i'll have to check, but these flags may be good. I can download large WU since I have a fast connection. When I get home I'll have to add it to D/L 500MB+ work units, and have them download when the current WU is at 90% completion. Then I can keep working :D

You could download a large WU, but what use would it be if your computer takes more than the maximum allowed time to finish the WU? The huge WUs are typically meant for servers to crunch :)

Try bit.ly or tinyurl.com if you want links to get shorter :D

Ouch jarhead, thoughs a tough one :p

Any one know whether a Firepro M8900 would be better for folding than a 6990? If I flash a 6990 with a M8900 vbios it will be like an M8900 with more shaders. Svl7 got it working. My only other hurdle is weather it works in crossfire or not. Although I'm not sure I even need crossfire enabled. Wonder how I could test it if the M8900 would be better than 6990M

EDIT: Almost cracked the top 20K teams!

reluctantly using 6.41 until the guys at F@H realize there is nothing wrong with a 560m. It seems to be the only fermi-gpu that F@H doesn't recognize. Hopefully the gpu client (GPU3) likes fermi gpus :D

Firepro is designed for CAD and stuff like that, so theoretically it would run better in F@H than a Radeon. However, you do not need to flash the vBios of the M8900, all you need to do is modify the Firepro drivers to install on your 6990 as Firepro drivers are almost like Radeon drivers with the exception of one driver file that enables Firepro compatibility. If you need any help with that give me a shout :)

Hmm, I can't get the firepro drivers to install, however, I did flash the M8900 vbios. No crossfire in CCC though. Though I think folding at home would still work. But CCC is picking it up as a firepro. But without installing the drivers, GPU-Z sees it as a 6900series (which I changed to 6990M :p) Once 11.10 is installed, when I try and install the Dell M8900 drivers, it says the display drivers are up to date. Could 11.10 be a total package with everything in them? I would doubt that given that they are complete different in purpose.

You need to modify the inf files to detect your 6990m. The stock firepro drivers will not work out of the box as your device id and subsys id are still the same as before. PM me your 6990m's device id (the longest one with subsys etc) and I'll see if I can mod it for you. However be warned that firepro drivers don't perform as well in games :)

Also, I need the download link for the firepro drivers you got so I can make sure that the inf file is compatible.

For those of you who are upset that the folding site hasn't updated lately,

you may see MUCH more dynamic results over here.

They update every 3 hrs, and it's not the easiest site to decipher, but considering that folding hasn't been updated since 3pm yesterday, it's a way to figure out just how much we've all folded.

We're looking good! I wish there was a way to link that table to the original post. That would be sweet.

EDIT: I checked with a killowat and my two systems when close up and folding, are drawing only 270w. :D I was estimating 400 watts or so. Now I just need to get my brothers system working. I was cleaning it up due to viruses and such. Since I have it, I may as well fold on it for a week or two. :D

You can ue that link and put it on the OP as a redundant link. This way if F@H server's update slowly again, people can get a more dynamic update.

I think reborn, ganzonomy and DR650SE are getting WUs with less credits, because I finished 5 WUs (yes I'm slow ;)) and I got 6.6k credits but ganzonomy (for example) did 33 WUs and should have gotten about 42900 credits (1.3k per WU) but he only has 18300. I don't know how F@H assigns WUs, but I think you should be getting larger WUs for more credits :)

I want points too. I even told it to give bigger projects to my GPU... why? because the GPU is folding its little units at the rate of about 1 every 90 minutes to 2 hours. (not normal)

Well, I just formatted my Inspiron 1720. I gave it to my brother and he filled it with trojans to the point that it wouldn't boot. So I wiped the HDD reformatted, did a fresh install. I told him I would give it back to him around christmas time. Right now I have it folding :D It has an Intel Core 2 Duo T9500 dual core at 2.6GHz, and an Nvidia 8600M GT. I overclocked it from 475/400/950 (I think that was stock) to 550/500/1100. This way I can get more pts. :D Unfortunately I don't think it has Cuda. It may not get a lot of points, but at least its some points.

Tomorrows project, clean up the Dell Mini I gave to my nieces and see if that thing can do some Folding too :p It too was slowed way down with garbage. I need to quite giving computers.

I only wish I could take my swfe's Inspiron 15 and have that do some folding to, but alas, I dare not even ask, for she may kill me. Bad enough I have three laptops running now, and a small fourth tomorrow. That may be the last straw, and I don't need that :p

Mine take about 9 hours to complete using GPU exclusively and I get about 1.3k credits each. I didn't mess around with F@H, asking it to get me larger WUs or anything, it was automatically assigned (somehow).

Yea a lot of mine vary. I know the SU7300 on my M11x takes forever!

Dang Chief has 12 clients under his name reborn2003. I wonder if he installed F@h on ever computer at his work :p People are going to wonder why all the fan noise hahaha.

I wonder how many work units my M11x has put out. So far I think his is only put forth WU from the GPU and it's at 21 WU. Between all his clients, he has more than three times the number of points I have :p He has a total of 15 clients  Unless he swapped the M11x to his reborn2003 ID, as it doesn't look to have recieved credit in the last 24 hrs.

    Keep it up Chief!!

    HEheheh :D Thanks DR!

I took your advice and reinstalled the clients on the notebooks listed in my SIG! Now "reborn2003" is close to running at full power. I have also OC the CPU and GPUs on all the notebooks except for the M11x. That little beast is doing a great job at folding smaller WU's at quite a fast rate.

It's also a good thing that F@H loads up automatically because the number of times now that I have come home to find that the notebook has restarted due to a windows update or it has crashed BSOD and then restarted. PHEW! ;)

I'm not sure what the 12 clients mean but the more the merrier LOL!

You keep up the good work too man!

Everybody is doing a great job. Top stuffs TEAM! We're in the TOP 10k WOOT!!! :p
I must also say now that Stanford's servers are back up and running again their team stats updates are quite frequent and up to date now.

    Cheers. :)

NIce guys! I actually woke up this morning and my Inspiron 1720 had restarted. I had just done an fresh install so windows updates no doubt did it. But I need to set F@h to start automatically too. Although I havn't had any issues, I did have my M17x display drivers do some sort of freeze lastnight. The screen wouldn't turn on. So I just restarted. I also need to OC my cards. I only overclocked the 8600M GT in my Inspiron 1720. Tonight I'll do it on my M17x. Although I don't know if that will cause throttling. :(

DR, this is one of those cases where it's better to just leave things as they are rather than try and OC the computer like we do when we game. If the computer makes an error or shuts off due to OC'ing, then the credit for the WU is lost. (Not a good thing.) What you may want to do is see if there is a way to start up the computer without folding v7 automatically starting up, and set it up that way. But then, as with previous option, you may lose credits for WUs.
