I control my screen color temperature using the MSI True Color which has different profiles.

I suggest you format and install the latest version v5.5 if it's not too much trouble.

I did follow your guide religiously from the clean install video guide and the clean install guide with pictures. The only thing I did when installing nvidia driver was not installing the 3d vision photo viewer driver as I dont use it. It seems to solve my problem is just to disable the windows update from O&Oshutup 10 as I have noticed this morning again it automatically install the 3d vision photo viewer again. Seems Im f..ked up with the home edition. LOL
So the plan is to just disable windows update from O&Oshutup 10. Now do you have any idea how to remove this? one on the attached picture. As I don't like it there.. LOL
Also if I use Search Show Icon is that Cortana? Can I use it instead of Everything Search engine as I am not use to using it. THank alot.

 

Any chance of a 32-bit / x86 version? My tablet is dying to get one, and there are no drivers for 64-bit version. In fact, my cherry trail tablet fails to boot anything else than 32bit, so it must be a purposeful bios limitation.

thanks for the replies.. I'll the win pro when I get a new ssd nvme so for now I'll just bare the home edition.. What I'm doing right now is restoring image when I havent updated windows. I will be using DDU to remove nvidia 378.66 and install the latest one. Hopefully microsoft will detect that I already have the latest driver and wont install any nvidia driver from them.. fingees cross.. lol

Acer blessed me with the Home version too. I finally just said screw it and disabled updates altogether and went with WUMT. Only been using it for a month or so, but seems to do what I want for a change.

 

MSFT installs NV 382.05 driver and intel 4590 ones. Disable WU before driver update.

 

The nice with buying Clevo barbones. You can determine what OS you want. Same for the hardware

@Phoenix: I still use Defender and haven't caught any viruses till now. Its been 4-5 yrs since I switched to MSE/Defender. But I do rely on third party AVs [LiveCDs] in case some malware slips by.

If I install this bloatware free edition of Windows 10, after next major update like anniversary or creators update, and if I update via windows update, will be this bloatware free edition revert to normal, original Microsoft version of Windows 10.

 

A new main builds like "Crematory Edition" means a new Bloatware free Windoze Os install!! Expect this ****y being done two times a year. And all should do a new clean OS install a year anyway!! Welcome to the Micro$oft new OS services!!

 

After more reading decided to install Avast, running very well.
Obviously with Classic Shell and Cortana disabled

Since you use USB drives less than 2TB so MBR scheme for UEFI suits better than GPT layout. For HDD/SSD you need GPT type layout for EFI to work properly.

 

Creating the USB Flash Drive in MBR Mode for UEFI doesn't mean you will install the OS in MBR Mode, once you do a diskpart/clean and create a new partition, your drive will be initiated as GPT provided you are in UEFI mode in the BIOS.

In the past there was an error if you create the USB Flash Drive in GPT mode as it creates extra MSR partitions on the USB Flash Drive instead of your actual drive but now that's been fixed so you are safe to create the USB Flash Drive in GPT mode as well. I will edit the guide later

Hey @Phoenix I finally got my 16L13 yesterday and set it up using your ISO to install Windows. I just had a couple questions. I thought the calculator was removed from it, but I have it in my version. Was something changed with your ISO so that the 10 calculator was kept and not removed anymore? Also I thought the built in search was disabled or removed completely, and even though I chose no to Cortana during setup, when the desktop first loaded I had my search bar on my taskbar and if I start typing to search for things it is able to find things. Just curious if this is how it's supposed to be or if I missed something?

 

The calculator Windows Store App was kept and I didn't restore the Windows 7 Calculator, would you like me to remove the Windows Store calculator and revert back to the windows 7 one in the next update?

As for the search, I could've sworn that I've disabled Cortana, you had the search bar in your taskbar? are you sure?

 

100% sure I had it on the bottom left next to the start button. Right clicked the taskbar and went to Cortana and checked the box there to hide/disable it. If I click the start button and begin typing to search for something such as a program or "advanced startup settings" it searches and finds these things.

I don't need you to do anything, I was just a little confused and wanted to make sure that I didn't do something wrong or that I wasn't missing something. Not a big deal just was kind of looking for clarification thinking I might have done something wrong.

 

ok I will ensure its disabled in the next built although this might just be the standard Windows Search not Cortana.

Anyway, use O&O ShutUp10 to disable Cortana and other stuff

 

From my experience when I installed the bloatware free edition the search bar was there. But when i tried using it, it doesn't work. Which I guess cortana was dead and still used O&Oshutup10 + Classic shell. ^_^

 

What do you use to disable these specific components? Thanks in advance.

I see no such options on MSIMG. I am trying to see if NTLite disables those. I have rid myself of most of the other stuff, based on a Spanish Enterprise CU ISO.

On a side note, make sure that you extract the toolkit to the root of C: not any other partition and run it as admin and disable your Antivirus and make sure you got the correct MSDN ISO not the one downloaded by the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool: Windows and Office ISO Download Tool

Why not use original ISO w/o updates, i.e. just creators 15063.0 ISO and integrate updates? Why the MSDN server is slow?
