    First THANKS for making this.

    My GT73VR Titan has been blue screening and crashing is some games so I am going to give this a try.
    Please forgive if I ask silly/stupid questions.

    I have the ISO burned on the Flash drive and am ready to go. But before I start I noticed in your video you removed the second hard drive.
    Is this necessary? I have 2 512gig ssd's in a 1 Terabyte raid 0 this is my C drive and 1 HHD as a D drive. SO i should pull out the HHD?

    Also the second video is only if I want to do a backup of my system first...correct?

    Thanks in advance for your help!

    Fully support your work, Phoenix.
    Keep up the good job. Waiting for the next release (using MSMG, NTLite, Toggle Tweaker, etc...).

    Cheers.

    Is the search on Classic Windows 7 Start Menu working? Having a search function in Start Menu is a must for me but it was apparently removed due to telemetry/Cortana. How can I get it back?

    Got it sorted out.

    I went and downloaded the Intel Raid drivers and put then on the flash drive and all was good.
    Might have been a bad download.

    This clean install is pretty slick...fast and snappy.
    I might add some stuff back in later but I am digging the speed.

    Absolutely insane Windows version, after all the tweaks and a RAM cache, I don't even know where to start.

    It is snappier than a normal W10 installation on my best friends NVMe Intel SSD lol. Absolutely ludicrous how much garbage-filtering can do on a W10 iso.

    MSMG Toolkit v7.4 Released. Time to start building a new ISO [IMG]. In order to minimize any errors, I will not integrate anything now like no .NET Framework 3.5 or no Windows Updates. I will only place the IRST Driver folder in the root of the ISO for easy RAID Setup installations. Stay tuned

    Changelog:
    + Fixed a Bug in the Feature "Integrate Windows Language Packs", Where the Updating of Lang.ini Failed Due to Invalid Image Mount Path.
    + Fixed a Bug in the Feature "Integrate Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5", Where the Toolkit Couldn't Find the Required Package Files Due to the Change in Image ServicePackBuild Version for Windows 10 Source OS.
    + Updated the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7 Pack (Windows 7/Server 2008 R2) for MSMG ToolKit with Auto MOFs Compilation & Fresh NativeImages Generation after OS Installation (Thanks to MDL Member : abbodi1406).
    + Updated the Feature "Integrate Windows Sidebar" with Improved Windows Sidebar EXE & DLL Registration (Thanks to MDL Member : Kenafri).
    + Updated Windows Sidebar Pack for MSMG ToolKit to Remove Non-Working Gadgets (Currency, Stocks, Weather).
    + Updated the Feature "Remove Default Metro Apps" with a Confirmation Y/N Query to Proceed Further When Remove All Apps Menu Is Selected.
    + Updated the Feature "Remove Windows Components" with a Confirmation Y/N Query to Proceed Further When Remove All Windows Components Menu Is Selected.
    + Updated the Feature "Apply & Save Changes to Source Images" to Perform Extra Image Clean-up to Remove Temporary Files/Folders.
    + Modified Image Registry Mount Points with Proper Naming

    • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\TK_HKLM_SOFTWARE] -> [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE] (%windir%/system32/config/software)
    • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\TK_HKLM_SOFTWARE\Classes] -> [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT] (%windir%/system32/config/software)
    • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\TK_HKLM_SYSTEM] -> [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM] (%windir%/system32/config/system)
    • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\TK_HKCU] -> [HKEY_CURRENT_USER] (%userprofile%/ntuser.dat)
    • [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\TK_HKU_DEFAULT] -> [HKEY_USERS\.Default] (%windir%/system32/config/default)

    + Added an Option to Load/Unload Image Registry Under Tools->Options Menu.

    Windows 10 Bloatware Free Edition v5.5 has been created and currently being uploaded to Google Drive which will then soon be uploaded by Major Geeks.

    Changelog:
    - Created with the new MSMG Toolkit v7.4 which has better cleaning so the ISO size is smaller now (4.45GB)
    - Removed Windows Defender, most of the Metro Apps except Sticky Notes, Calculator, and Xbox (to ensure Game Mode works properly)
    - Removed Home Group, Geo Location, etc.
    - No Windows Updates or .NET Framework 3.5 were integrated to avoid any errors and to make the ISO size smaller.

    original ISO size from MSDN which contains Home/Pro is 4.03 GB.

    After removal of the components / applying the updates which in turn applies the cleanup to what it removed, the size is 4.45GB. Still better than the previous 5.5GB

    Hi @Phoenix keep up the good job. I am planning to update my OS this week and have a question. When you said no windows update and .net framework, will I just update manually from windows update in control panel after I have installed all the necessary software for my laptop like the chipsets and driver. Is that correct? Is it also in the video as I have not seen your video yet. hahaha being lazy. LOL But i have tried the Clean install guide with pix. Would it be the same? Sorry for the noob question. Thank for your help.

    That's right. It's just like a regular Windows ISO which doesnt come with the updates or .NET Framework 3.5 anyway. Looks at the Windows 10 tips and tweaks there is a little guide on how to install the .NET Framework 3.5 without being connected to the net

    using 5.3 as base, i created my own iso and did remove everything you can, absolutely everything available on the toolkit

    been using it for 2 weeks, perfect, no issues, gaming, office, all just great

    btw you can use the toolkit on a ramdisk, it is faster , duh

    You not optimize install.wim.
    Optimize install.wim example wimlib:
    https://wimlib.net/downloads/index.html
    cmd code:
    Code:
    wimlib optimize install.wim
    after wimlib optimize install.wim 3 149 951 330 B.

    Optimize with dism examle:
    Code:
    Dism /Export-Image /SourceImageFile:install.wim /SourceIndex:1 /DestinationImageFile:install-optimize.wim
    Dism /Export-Image /SourceImageFile:install.wim /SourceIndex:2 /DestinationImageFile:install-optimize.wim
    after dism export optimize install.wim 3 153 965 032 B.

    Both 100 % valid.

    ... bonus (optimize with recompress):
    Code:
    wimlib optimize --recompress install.wim
    install.wim 3 120 482 947 B.

    @Phoenix wait, I thought you put your 64GB of RAM to good use... no RAMdisk, oh lord :D you surprise me

    @tetelak hey I did exactly that too! And a few other tweaks to minimize size and such. So far no issues, I like it.

    When MSMG is almost done and you press 6 to apply, after that I press 3 to rebuild the Source
    [Install.wim] WIM Image with maximum compression. It usually brings it down a GB in size.

    Apply all changes to source OS and exit MSMG. Launch NTlite and point the source to your OS image directly. Right click on edition and click Recompress.

    that's a bit dramatic.

    If you have a look at his win 10 tweaks guide and software update thread, you'll see an abundance of free software that he recommends.

    In addition, those that have had his help remotely, will attest to the free options he shows you is out there that I'm sure he uses himself, but if there is a licence for it that reduces the problems or gets him the tech support form them, then he will, as I'm sure most of us would.

    Ones ability to purchase them should not come into question, as that's an entirely personal decision.

    I know your comment was an off the cuff comment, however I've seen this sentiment around a few threads and wanted to offer an alternative view.

    Let me explain.

    If there is an app A vs an app B that do the same thing, but app A is paid vs app B which is Free. I'll pick app A anytime of the day?

    From my experience, a lot of free stuff contain ads, PUPs (potentially unwanted programs bundled), or simply, aren't as polished up or good as the paid ones.

    In this case, where the member recommended some free app, right after the post here I already mentioned that I already have a license for Primo Ramdisk Pro, that's why I said I don't use free ****.

    There are some very good free apps though which you can see in my Phoenix Software Updates thread and it's limited to those. I have a big problem with ads, I hate ads, don't want them or don't even look at them.

    Heck, even the Skype that I offer in that list is the bloatware free Skype version with no additional components and if you go to Tools > Options > Privacy, then uncheck the Microsoft Targeted ads, you don't get ads in Skype as well.

    Hand-picked free software is not the same as garbage. There is a reason they are posted in the Phoenix software updates. And not all software is a payment item.

    @Phoenix I've just installed v5.5 and im on the part of guide where you put your 2nd hard drive. I've just noticed that microsoft edge is on the task bar pinned.. Did you do that on purpose not delete edge on the new OS?

    @Phoenix help or anyone. Im on the part were I connected to my wifi to activate windows 10 and I wanted to update windows 10 for security patch but Im stuck on Checking for updates ..... its not doing anything..

    Was able to update now but apparently Windows update installed a Nvidia 3d vision without my permission.. Sad.. bloody windows 10.. Is this suppose to be the normal of windows 10 even with the bloatware free edition?

    you need to install all the updated drivers FIRST before connecting to the net otherwise Windows will install whatever drivers it feels like.

    Also, if you have Pro, you should disable the rule which says "Include Windows Driver Updates with Windows Updates" then run O&O ShutUp10 and also disable the Driver updates option. If you have Windows 10 Home you are SOL

    @Phoenix I've been using Windows Bloatware 5.2 ever since (Thanks for this BTW!). I have only ONE problem. Night Light automatically turns on every time I boot up even though the button is greyed out (OFF). So each time I have to TURN ON, then OFF again. Haven't found any solution from Googling. The problem started when I tried to schedule the Night Light, which wasn't working. Next boot after that, it justs turns ON every time.
    Thanks for looking it up...
