Any LTSC version will lag behind with new introduced features. Gaming and whatever. The reason for going with LTSC is to avoid new features that slow down the user experience/useless new features/less bugs. If there is something you miss then make a dual boot with whatever newer OS you want if there is something you miss regarding gaming. It will come new LTSC versions but it will still lag behind the newest OS versions regarding newest features.

You can always multiboot. I do. NVIDIA is a Micro$lop butt-kisser, so some of the newest features on 20 and 30 series GPUs require a newer OS. The reason for that is their deviant and devisive control-freak nature, not because the newer OS is more capable.
If you are not playing games that can use the features, don't care about the features, or don't have an NVIDIA GPU, then it doesn't matter.
If you multiboot then you can run the newer OS only when necessary, or use it as a disposable trash OS and keep the superior OS clean and pristine by only using it when quality and performance actually matter. -
Amd Ryzen 5 2600
XFX RX 580
Both came out in 2017-2018 at around the time 1809 was the latest build I didn't even build this PC until 2019. Doesn't NVIDIA drivers require the Microsoft store or something? My PC is more than capable of running regular builds of W10 I just like having something small and lightweight instead. -

Just a report after approx 1\2 year with LTSC, been absolutely great, fast, low on resource usage, stable etc. Found nothing really needing to be removed so far, & only 2 additions, O&O + Open-Shell. But may test the very interesting 'lightened' versions mentioned in other topic.
Like the best pieces from w.8.1, w7 & w10 accumulated in one package :O)
Behaves exactly like an OS should (must) behave > the basis for running one's preferred and needed programs, no more, no less.
Edit: and big thanks to the guys here for pushing awareness of LTSC's very existence, and for all the related information and guidance.

my LTSC is still holding up better than new pro installation 2 years after it's original installation.

I think LTSC will be updated this year sometime as it's a 2 or so years major update cycle for it. I haven't heard anything concrete though.
Edit:
Oh right, duh do net search first lol
So looks like later this year for 21h2 version.

I tried numerous times to get my PowerSpec 1530's laptop (Clevo PB50DF2) RTX 2070 Super to work with LTSC but never could. Nvidia drivers just wouldn't install. Tried Clevo-supplied Nvidia drivers, older & newer Nvidia drivers. Only generic drivers worked.
So I'm stuck with Pro ;(... and Arch Linux.

You can always downgrade to a newer build of Windoze 10 if and when you determine that it is actually necessary to support newer hardware. You definitely cannot believe it when the party that stands to benefit from it tells you it is required because they're simply telling consumers what is in their best interest for consumers to believe. Since they are never questioned or held accountable for being compulsive liars, they continue to get away with it.Last edited: Mar 7, 2021 -
Yeah I don't know it was just general info no real need to wait for it. The largest inconvenience about win7 is no dx12 but even now most games have dx11, most M$ games and probably on the sly M$ subsidized games are really the only ones that are dx12 absolutely required. But for a gamer that's a big deal for enough big games and as time goes by.

I'd totally switch to Linux if it was as streamlined as windows for all software and hardware and had more support. Probably makes M$ shake in their boots and I think they throw a lot of weight around dissuading companies to support Linux users more. -

Even better... use NVCleanstall, choose the option to "Add Hardware Support" and input your hardware ID and you should be good to go. The even works for non-standard configurations where older laptops are upgraded with newer GPUs.

March 9, 2021—KB5000822 (OS Build 17763.1817) + KB5000859 as SSU | March 9, 2021
Highlights
- Updates security for the Windows user interface.
- Updates to improve security when Windows performs basic operations.
- Updates to improve security when using Microsoft Office products.
- Addresses an elevation of privilege security vulnerability documented in CVE-2021-1640 related to print jobs submitted to “FILE:” ports. Manually delete the affected print jobs and resubmit them to the print queue when the print spooler service is online.
- Security updates to the Windows Shell, Windows Fundamentals, Windows Management, Windows Apps, Windows User Account Control (UAC), Windows Core Networking, Windows Hybrid Cloud Networking, the Windows Kernel, Windows Virtualization, the Microsoft Graphics Component, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge Legacy, and Windows Media.
For more information about the resolved security vulnerabilities, please refer to the new Security Update Guide website.
Remember the servicing stack update must be installed first.

Yeah sorry for that I did get from a search that it just won't include NCP because it's general driver to work on all devices. I of course have no intention of using the M$ store ever so will need to eventually do a DDU and standard reinstall to get NCP.
The driver package for my gateway includes an NCP install folder but it's .appx format, not sure how to run that one. I did notice that NCP was missing sometimes, it would disappear but when I used NVSlimmer to reinstall it came back somehow.Mr. Fox likes this. -

Thanks guys, I will do the DDU eventually but that would require me to turn back on the hybridgpu optimus option in the BIOS then do all that because I think if I did it without that I'd get a black screen right?

Hi All.... Well--- damn.... So pissed... Had a script running that needed to run all weekend , so i could check it on monday.. Last night-- my ltsc downloaded some updates and restarted on its own... fk you MS....
I thought for some reason ltsc didnt update unless I did it manually(which i did a few times).... Now it did it on its own..
I have a few questions regarding ltsc that I'm confused about, and hoping you guys wont mind me asking..
1. I have the ltsc that was posted here.. Do i still need to go in and use O&O and do the items listed in the "windows 10 things to do" thread? Or is installing ltsc and just using it the way it installs how i should use it?
1b... if I should use O&O and do the things in the "do these things" thread,,,do i need to do them all in that thread? or is there just some main ones that will cover most of the important things?
2. This question is towards mr fox... Though anyone can answer.. I see that mr fox NEVER updates--- im not one that cares about the latest and greatest... Though i do want my windows to be safe.. Should i just NEVER update my ltsc? Never ever? .. I just want a os to run and leave me alone-- and that is what i was hoping ltsc would do...
Am i just subscribing to the BS that MS wants you to think -- in that i need to run update to be "safe"...
3. i see Papusan showing the updates with description...Am i supposed to install those he lists here, or should i just click on update in windows and let it update? Or is he just showing what they are-- but all the while not wanting me to actually install them ?
4. I see that S.K has a thread with a de-bloated ltsc 2019(is this the same version that was posted in this thread before? just de-bloated?).. His de-bloating sounds awesome... Is it a good way to go or should i just stick with version in this thread here and de-bloat it myself? Or just leave it alone..
Im just a bit confused on what i should do... I want a OS that just runs... Yet i still want to update anything that you guys think i should update..
Last but not least.. If you dont think i should run the de-bloated 2019 version... is there a link to the current version listed in this thread that is working.. If my updating from before did something wrong-- i might need to reinstall my OS.. -
I prefer this way doing updates... http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/the-throttlestop-guide.531329/page-1087#post-10980641

Papusan... Thanks for the links.. I ended up using stopupdates10 and O&O.. I figure those 2 things will stop the updates, and stop MS from talking back to the mothership.. I looked on that windows 10 tips and tricks page-- omg my head started to spin lol.. So just went with these 2...

Today I learned that Windows 10 LTSB 2016 works with modern AMD drivers. I decided to test out an older version of LTSC using Windows 10 LTSB 2016 and had no problems installing drivers for my AMD Ryzen 5 2600 and my XFX RX 580.
