    Download all Editions

Once you download Enterprise, run the Batch file and it will download all the files and then compile it to an ISO. All official from the MSDN Library

I've had massive dramas installing this. Only tried an upgrade as I've only just reinstalled a fresh version a couple of weeks ago.
It hangs straight away and won't even let me into the bios. Did a backup fortunately wish I would like to thank phoenix for a great reflection video.
Anyone else had issues similar to mine?

It's always an adventure installing a new Win 10 version. Seriously, everytime I've done it some different issue will pop up. This time (my 2nd RS4 install) Edge, Store, and Xbox kept repinning themselves to the Start menu until after a few reboots. Strangely this time, that one telemetry setting in OOSU10 that keeps resetting, didn't.

I was reading an article about the new Inspectre utility. Ran it myself and my machine shows I'm vulnerable to Spectre now (the button to (dis)enable protection is greyed out). I was protected through the MS updates before hand. I don't really care much (surprisingly Acer actually is making a BIOS update for my laptop), just wondering if this is a RS4 thing

Microsoft demotes Windows 10 Redstone 4 build 17133 from RTM status-Windowscenteral.com
After delaying the release of Windows 10 Redstone 4, Microsoft has now demoted build 17133 from RTM status internally due to a last minute blocking bug.

My sources are now suggesting that Microsoft has since demoted Windows 10 build 17133 from RTM status internally, meaning the company is now compiling new Redstone 4 builds once again in an attempt find a new one that passes the necessary criteria for public release. As a reminder, RTM stands for 'Release To Manufacturing' and is the build that goes out to partners for preloading onto new hardware, and is also the official build that gets rolled out to the world as an update.

    Edit. (17. April)
Microsoft Finally Releases the Highly Awaited Windows 10 1803 1804? RTM Build
It would probably take another week for Microsoft to release today’s build to all the rings to test it for any last minute issues. But if all goes well, Windows 10 17134 will be the RTM build for Windows 10 version 1803 – which should technically be 1804:rolleyes: now.

That might not be a good idea... it depends on what Apple means by "their own CPU", when dropping Intel as their CPU source.

If it means AMD and Apple are collaborating on building a custom line of CPU's for iphone through workstation, then that might be a great situation to be on the ground floor of, but not until they release them.

Apple has been using poor performing ARM and Intel CPU's for a while now, their Macbooks have hardly any 'pute to do real work, while the AIO/desktop's that can do real work use Xeon CPU's and implementations that are way over priced.

So, AMD would bring in a wide range of parts that could do the entire line that Apple needs, including GPU's.

Or Apple means they plan on using their ARM and GPU aquisitions to supply CPU / GPU's for Macbooks and desktops like they use them for their iphone / ipads, and that would be a disaster for anyone looking for real compute / GPU performance in their tools under MacOS.

Basically Apple would have brought the performance of their laptops and desktops down so far with poor Intel parts, that Apple's internal CPU / GPU's could be used to pick up from here when dropping Intel.

We don't know which way Apple is going, but either way Intel is on the "outs" which means buying any Apple product with Intel right now, especially the new expensive stuff, is a deadend product right out of the box.

It would be like buying PowerPC Macintosh hardware, or Motorola Macintosh hardware, just before each transitition.

Of course if Apple does go the ARM and internal GPU development route, these final Intel products could be the best performing Apple products for years to come.

And, which way is the OS going to go? Will Apple bring IOS to the desktop / laptop and drop MacOSX completely?

At this point it's too much of a gamble to spend money on Apple hardware.

This is pathetic man, after all these builds and Betas, now the clowns at Microsoft can't get the default apps to work again! Yeah that' what happens when you fux0r around a lot with the kernel of the OS as they completely removed the old classic default programs in exchange with the limited control PC Settings Default Apps

I am sure they wouldn't mind users getting stuck with their apps as default, especially edge, but the backlash would be brutal.

New Microsoft definition of what used to mean FINAL, STABLE = RTM. Nothing is RTM until it is RTM.

In the past history when Microsoft still used to make computer operating systems rather than hybrid mobile/computer OS, rumored RTM builds were always the real deal! this is the first time in history when a rumored RTM was pulled and even the next build is even more buggy!

Microsoft reshuffled the Windows team a few weeks back. As it is Windows 10 is a hodge podge of old and new UIs and Mobile/Desktop without proper consistency (They f****d up the control panel with old and new UIs). If this is a nightmare for enthusiasts like us imagine how bad it’s for the average user. The core OS is an improvement but crap like it updating your drivers to previous versions when you are on the latest, even after disabling driver updates and all that bloat/telemetry. It’s kinda disheartening and the default apps thing you mentioned. Interesting to see the reshuffle now as some analysts are saying they’re focusing more on their cloud platform which I believe as they make a ton of profit there. Probably means Windows 10 quality control is going to take a further hit. While MacOS works to be become less bad Windows seems to be going the opposite direction.

    There is another major issue.

Say I buy a new lappy which ships with Redstone 3. All the drivers that ship with that laptop were tested and approved for use on Redstone 3.

The disaster is, every new build of Windows which is every 6 months is requiring a new set of drivers for max performance and compatibility, ie. card reader drivers from Realtek have the Windows build in their version number, the Wireless/Bluetooth Drivers may or may not work properly if not updates, some system utilities won't work, and the list goes on.

MSI for example has stopped updating drivers for the GT73 which I have so now I am having to go to other similar models and grab the latest drivers like touchpad, card reader, etc. Imagine what your average joe would do after he updates Windows and have his crap doesn't work!

I hate this OS with all my heart man and I'm forced to use it because Windows 7 simply won't work on my laptop no matter how hard I tried.

I'm telling you the moment Apple releases a new MacBook Pro I am getting it. I am sick of Microsoft and their jokes. Apple people laugh at me when I tell them I format my laptop every week or at least every new build. We waste so much of our time doing this when those Apple computers simply work, no drivers, no drastic bugs like your settings app crashing, etc.

Just make sure to get Apple Care, because Apple has its own set of issues on the hardware side with the new keyboards which can get stuck keys and replacement is like $300 because the keyboard is riveted in not to mention soldered SSD. Consumers are really stuck between a rock and a hard place between Apple and MS. :-(

Oh I wouldn't be getting the current MacBook Pro. It has a lot of issues.

I am waiting for the 2018 MacBook Pro which I hear is gonna have a revamped keyboard after Apple took into the considerations the complaints of the current one in addition to the 8th gen CPUs. Either Way, I will get Apple Care when I get one.

Notebookcheck has detailed reviews of many laptops which include color calibration, power draw, heat map, audio tests, WiFi, storage, cpu temps/throttling etc, literally the most detailed review site.

    Here’s one:

You can even get their color calibration files for your laptop model to use within the review.

Windows OS must be released every 2 years so that people get used the environment and less errors/BSoD on the way while installing/upgrading. Every time re-writing driver isn't needed.

That's kinda the old way, which I think worked fine, update with a new version every 24-36 months, and 6 month feature / fix updates, with security updates added later more frequently.

With actual QA testing for each feature / fix update, and even the security patches got serious testing before release.

There were bugs to be sure at each 6 month update, but no where near as much chaos as Windows 10 has brought.

The continuous deployment cycle of constant updates, pushing the bug testing into the field, while potentially introducing new technology "quicker" it's just too much of a chaotic interruption to people that just need to get their jobs done and not waste time on their computer OS / applications.

These software companies have the wrong focus. They focus on their product like it's the most important thing, when to the customer it's not at all even near the top 25 in their lives.

Service software, like OS's need to just be there - something you can depend on to not screw up your life at random times.

I had hopes at one point that this was happening, and improving, then all of a sudden someone got the bright idea that we the customer could be included in the "development" cycle - save money on QA and those pesky problems they brought up that "must before fixed before shipping".

Software needs to be reliable above all else, not just provide desired functionality, but to not interfere with functionality coming from elsewhere.

    Anyway, Windows 10 Sucks. :D

Downloading 17134.1.180410-1804.rs4_release as we speak via the Media Creation Tool

    Instructions:

    1) Download the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool but don't run it. Right click on the file, go to properties, and hit unblock from the bottom right then apply then OK

    2) Download this batch file: MediaCreationTool_RS4.bat . Right click on the file, go to properties, and hit unblock from the bottom right then apply then OK

    3) Make sure both the MediaCreationTool.exe and the Batch file are in the same folder.

    4) Right click on the batch file and select Run as Administrator, the Media Creation Tool should now launch but download the latest RS4 hopefully the actual RTM ISO. Proceed with the next steps as usual, either just download the ISO or have it create a bootable USB drive for j00.

I used the UUP files to create the same 17134 ISO a few days back, I get freezes while in 4K resolution no matter what Intel Driver I use on my Inspiron 7577 including latest unreleased 5018 driver, also when closing windows like in Chrome I get ghost images for a split second. Weird thing about the freezes is audio plays but screen gets stuck until I close and reopen the lid. At 1080 it doesn't happen so not sure if you will run into that issue but look out for it or maybe it will find you. I'm probably gonna reinstall 17134 on official release, maybe I have a bad install who knows lol.

I bet the issue will be similar. I Clean installed 4-5 times with Full disk erase with zero fills and still there are bugs to be squashed. I did in-place upgrade on my old PCs and there are same issues. So, Clean Install and In-place upgrade experience will be similar since they changed how OS is serviced and upgraded/migrated without any issues.
I will do in-place update to 17134 once they freeze it for release preview.

I knew you'd say that. I really meant, the cloud.ru UUP files instead of MSFT servers.
    Are you clean installing again????

Of course :D Minimum 7 times within 14 days. What did you expect? It’s a reason @Phoenix always prefer ssd’s with MLC nand.

I'm investing it in MLC now. Looks like 3 drive wipes and 7 clean installs reduced my spare cells by 2% on TLC with inf driver hacks for less throttling and more speed. Arghhhh!!! Windows 10.
