And I can't see @KY_BULLET have the need for install RS4. If it works as it is now, don't fix it.

@Phoenix
Going by how the thread is, it feels like I made a mistake into updating into RS4. Apart from the Ultimate Power Performance settings, what are the other stuff that we've tweaked before that needs retweaking?
EDIT: Got around to tweaking some stuff. My main concern after that is the volume level. I am all the way down to 1, but it still sounds like it's at 50 or something.
EDIT 2: So, I somehow found an old link for Clevo support on Realtek through Prema's website. Sound is fixed, but I'm now paranoid of whatever stuff I have yet to fix/retweak because of the update.Last edited: Jun 18, 2018Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -

Makes sense for the average customer, if it were properly implemented, as many of them if not most aren't exactly that computer literate and may not have much storage, however the big problem here is:
1. Base storage for new OneDrive users is only like 5GB Free vs like 30GB Free for initial users like me making this option kinda useless swapping around max of 5 GB back and forth wasting bandwidth as not everyone even has paid OneDrive accounts.
2. Settings are really convoluted now with Control Panel and Metro Settings so if they want to disable it the average user wont know what to do. On iPhones for photos for example you can disable optimized storage by simply going to the photos settings which only under one layer options.
3. This should be Opt In as in add a Windows Notification Tip to enable this option so new users know it exists and can use it if needed and power users don't need to hassled by it. If you want this to be Opt Out MS should not make their god damn settings so convoluted. For god sakes in 7/8.1 I could jut right click on the WiFi icon to see details like link rate and data in/out now we need to go to adapter options, so more menus. How is this making things simpler, for a Mobile/Desktop fusion OS this is everything but simple.
I personally just disable OneDrive and keep it uninstalled, granted I have a NAS with web connectivity, I just use the OneDrive/Google drive via web if I really need to and even Office 2016 can access documents on OneDrive without One drive being installed.Last edited: Jun 18, 2018Papusan, Vasudev and Spartan@HIDevolution like this. -

KB4284835 may cause Edge to stop working, says Microsoft
It turns out that there is one more problem packed in the Windows 10 cumulative update series released this month. Update KB4284835 was launched with just one known issue. Microsoft noted in the official announcement that some of the users who will be running Windows 10 version 1803 might be faced with the error that says “ An invalid argument was supplied” when they try to access files or run programs from a shared folder using the SMBv1 protocol.
Microsoft adds a new issues on the official KB page
The tech giant updated the page with a brand new found issue, and the info says that Microsoft Edge browser could face some errors after users install the June 2018 patches. It seems that the browser might stop working correctly when it starts the download of a font from a problematic URL.
And this MESS below won't make it any betterNew features as this will be added to all versions. Be you sure.

Can't be any worse than Win X

Does that spoofed concept look better than Windows 1o? Of course, but that's not actually saying much because Windows 10 is just a butt ugly Hepatitis OS, only marginally more aesthetically pleasing than the Windows 8.X dog dukey UI. The needle moved in the right direction, but not far enough. Really, about the only feature Windows 10 has that would make Windows 7 better is the Win-X menu. Some would say DX12 as well, but in the 3 years since it was introduced it is still not particularly relevant. DX11 and Vulkan are more relevant.
All that said, I would grudgingly put up with and stop complaining it if they would just ditch the Nazi updates, Cortana, UWP and Store App virus crap completely and fix the CPU performance-killing cancer and RTC bugs that were introduced with Windows 8.X and never fixed. If a person decides they want to stay on the same release of Windows 10 for 3 to 5 years, they should be able to do that, no questions asked, without having to resort to OS tweaks and registry hacks.Ashtrix, KY_BULLET, Vasudev and 1 other person like this. -

Starlight5 Yes, I'm a cat. What else is there to say, really?
After last update, my wireless docking station disconnects all the time - whenever some of 4x HDDs go to sleep regardless of others being used, when I disconnect my DJ controller, or just without any ****ing reason; color profiles are impossible to use because whenever any device gets connected - be it Bluetooth, USB, or whatever - the screen starts flickering between the applied profile or no-profile at all, hell even when display orientation changes - it flickers once between uncalibrated and calibrated - so I'm stuck with poor colors on my laptop's monitor.
I initially thought the problem was in my wireless dock or related cabling inside the notebook - but after seeing the same symptoms when connecting devices directly to laptop by wires/Bluetooth, finally figured out the culprit. Sadly, I deleted old Windows version earlier and can't roll back. )'=

I have the same issue with my bluetooth Samsung speakers, I have to reconnect every time even if BT is on, Then to get it to stay connected, I have to shut off BT and Back on 3 times to get it to stay connected. I thought it was just the speakers.... But my samsung 8 phone will connect with the Lappy BT just fine.... without prompting if the BT is on, on the phone. The phone automatically prompted to download the Samsung driver too.... I wonder if that is why it works better than the BT speakers.....
I have searched for a driver for my BT speakers however I have not found one yet.....Vasudev and Starlight5 like this. -

Ok I know this is a known issue however it has become worse. before I could use SHUTUP 10....
I cannot for the life of me shut off automatic updates, EVEN though it is shut off in registry, and using SHUTUP10 and using Winaero on top of that. I have to leave SHUTUP10 on and open. This just happened when I updated to 17134.48
After each restart i bring up SHUTUP 10 and it says my automatic updates are on again, so I shut them off and restart, AGAIN they are on when I open up SHUTUP 10 .....Vasudev likes this. -

@Mari1225 W10 is skynet now, so every patch Tuesday it can auto start win updates even if its disabled in services.msc
Only WUMT wrapper can truly lock the services with SYSTEM protection/access.
I'm also asking the developer to add services like BITS, DO, system runtime, system guard runtime guard, windows update broker etc....Ashtrix, Mari1225, Mr. Fox and 1 other person like this. -
