I installed 10 pro on my new ssd and then updated to 1809. I have about 8 apps that show a new app is coming soon with an arrow pointing downwards. How do I fix this issue?

Try to right click on them and click uninstall. If that's not an option, then try using CCleaner, launch it, then go to Tools, then see if you can find those apps then right click on each of them and choose uninstall.

I had this issue once with Groove Music, it kept trying to download but would never finish for me to even uninstall it. I ended up searching for it myself in the Windows Store app and install it from there, after it was installed I was then able to uninstall it using CCleaner.

Dism++ can clean uninstall UWP apps. Normal uninstallation using ccleaner leaves behind some traces in WindowsApps folder in Program Files.

Yes it will be some random apps that needs be downloaded over and over OR you need to pay to play or even an ad for MSFT Store.
Click Uninstall or unpin to keep your start menu and taskbar neat and tidy.

Has anybody that's installed the "updates" from this month actually had it fix the network drive connecting issue? I'm still looking at a red X when I boot. Not sure if there's something I've overlooked…

Did you enable the "Function Discovery Provider Host" and "Function Discovery Resource Publication" services? You need to change their status from Manual to Automatic then reboot.

I just tried that before I posted and still the same red X. The one thing about those is that the "Function Discovery Resource Publication" is set to automatic (triggered). I don't know if that matters or how to even change it

Triggered means j00 triggered it, that's fine.

Did you make sure you set your connection to discoverable? When you connect to a Wifi network or even a LAN Network, click on the connections icon in the taskbar, then click on the connection that you are connected to and choose properties, then ensure you have it set to PRIVATE not PUBLIC

Also, in Control Panel, make sure you have your options like this in the Network and Sharing Center:

Nope, that's all good - hasn't changed since my clean install.
I guess I'll just have to go back to using their idiotic workaround (which btw I could never get to work using the task scheduler method) . I guess I shouldn't be surprised that a fix from MS doesn't actually fix anything

Event ID 1534 Warning in Event Viewer Prevent Windows 10 1809
    [IMG] deskmodder.de good Morning December 29, 2018 16:08

Anyone who has made a <functional update> to the Windows 10 1809 will see in the Event Viewer (just type in the taskbar search and start) daily warnings with the Event ID 1534. The trigger should be the tiledatasvc running in Windows...

And you have upgraded over older versions?

As it stands, it still comes from the Windows 10 1709. The 1803 clean installed, brings this error message according to Berthold from our Facebook group in the 1809 not.

"Anyone who had once re-installed Windows 10 1809 (clean) should not see this warning message in the Event Viewer"

I only have the 1534 Event ID appear twice, back in November, appeared twice within a few minutes of each other. I upgraded from v1803 to v1809 - just a vanilla upgrade, no clean install.

If you're on a previous version of Windows 10 Redstone 4,3, etc. you can force it to upgrade to Redstone 5 using this tool:

    Windows 10 Redstone 5 Updater

Bloatware Free edition will still need more work as I am awaiting for a new component removal tool by MSMG as the current one is buggy as ****

Use Win toolkit to integrate updates and keep of copy of mounted folder or create an ISO before using NTLite. NTLite can remove most UWP and other apps as well. Win toolkit is helpful in making ISO and wim files much smaller and cleans thoroughly unlike NTlite free version.

Sweet. Is there anything fundamentally different between this release and the one you did back in Nov(?) - other than the ubiquitous MS patches that don't actually fix anything? (TLDR: should I download this one too)
