Sorry meant installed both the debloated versions. I did not know i should not run sfc/scannow? How would it revert the files to stock if i installed a debloated version and was not connected to the internet.

Both the debloated versions? There is only one de-bloated version! The other link is for the standard ISO from Microsoft, check the link.
I still don't understand why you had to run that sfc /scannow command the ISO is flawless and I've been personally using it for a while now.
As to why not the command even though if you're not connected to the internet, I'm not sure about the specifics but that's what's been told on the MSMG thread on the forums
I hope you ran this command as soon as you installed the OS as per the instructions otherwise you would run into issues:
finally, I will remove the link to the ISO as I don't want any headaches. This is exactly why I had my thread about the MSMG de-bloated Windows 10 thread closed.Code:DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase

I did run your command. The other version was the one by Sixor. Is there a difference between the two other than Sixor removed more?

Hi, just updated to redstone 5.. I am having issues with the brightness slider.. I have followed the guide about the 50% brightness issue but my problem is I dont have a brightness slider in control panel nor the battery icon in task bar. I can adjust brightness in notifications and action and also in settings.. Is this a bug that is not fix? Any solutions?

UPDATE 11/27: Windows 10 October 2018 Update Build 17763.167 (KB4469342) blogs.windows.com
This Cumulative Update contains the same fixes as Build 17763.107 plus these additional fixes:
- Addresses an issue in Microsoft Edge with using the drag-and-drop feature to upload folders from the Windows desktop to a file hosting service website, such as Microsoft OneDrive. In some scenarios, files contained in the folders fail to upload, with possibly no error reported on the web page to the user.
- Addresses an issue that degrades Internet Explorer performance when you use roaming profiles or you don’t use the Microsoft Compatibility List.
- Addresses updated time zone information for Fiji.
- Addresses time zone changes for Moroccan daylight standard time.
- Addresses time zone changes for Russian daylight standard time.
- Addresses an issue that causes display settings to stop working when changing a multi-monitor configuration.
- Addresses an issue that displays a black screen on some servers when waking a display from sleep.
- Addresses an issue with long delays in taking a photo when using the Camera app in certain lighting conditions.
- Addresses an issue that prevents live Hulu TV content from playing in Microsoft Edge; instead, a black screen appears.
- Addresses an issue that stops Bluetooth® headsets from receiving audio input after several minutes of listening.
- Addresses an issue that causes the Brightness slider preference to be reset to 50% when the device restarts.
- Addresses an issue with the OEM manufacturing processes when running sysprep /generalize.
- Addresses an issue with Microsoft Intune that causes devices to be incorrectly marked as not compliant because a firewall incorrectly returns a ‘Poor’ status. As a result, the affected devices will not receive conditional access compliance approval and may be blocked from access to corporate resources such as email.
- Addresses a performance issue with vSwitch on network interface cards (NIC) that do not support Large Send Offload (LSO) and Checksum Offload (CSO).
- Updates the Wi-Fi policy for service set identifier (SSID) filtering to avoid filtering out Wi-Fi Direct devices.
- Addresses an issue that causes rasman.exe to stop responding.
- Addresses an issue in which regedit.exe fails to add double null terminator to REG_MULTI_SZ values in the Windows registry. The missing terminator may prevent services and applications from reading REG_MULTI_SZ values that regedit.exe adds after installing the operating system.
- Addresses an issue with RemoteApp visibility that may cause the main window to disappear until the user clicks the screen.
- Addresses an issue that prevents some users from setting Win32 program defaults for certain app and file type combinations using the Open with… command or Settings > Apps > Default apps.
- Addresses an issue that may cause mapped drives to fail to reconnect after starting and logging onto a Windows device.
- Addresses an issue that causes the Brightness slider preference to be reset to 50% when the device restarts
- Addresses an issue that prevents some users from setting Win32 program defaults for certain app and file type combinations using the Open with… command or Settings > Apps > Default apps.
- Addresses an issue that may cause mapped drives to fail to reconnect after starting and logging onto a Windows device etc...

Intel Introduces Universal Windows Drivers (UWD) Compliant Software Techpowerup.com
PRESS RELEASE Today, 00:47 Discuss (5 Comments)
Microsoft is changing the way that hardware drivers work on the Universal Windows Platform (UWP), Windows 10 (and later), and Microsoft Windows Server 2019 (and later). Hardware running on these operating systems can use Windows Modern Drivers (also known as Universal Windows Drivers - UWDs). Note that Microsoft requires the use of Windows Modern Drivers for Windows 10 1809 (RS5) and later. Intel will begin distributing Windows Modern Drivers for its products beginning in November 2018.

Everyone should ship the control panel or settings UI for their drivers as an exe and not as Appx.
One way its good because driver can be updated w/o DDU since WU is already disabled on my PCs and bad side is slipstreaming drivers packs becomes a difficult task.6.|THE|1|BOSS|.9 likes this. -
6.|THE|1|BOSS|.9 Notebook Evangelist
Oh no...
Time to get back on searching for the latest .inf files and install it manually
MS & Intel is going backwards and not forward...
and those Appx will sure be some kind of a compressed file which will be extracted and then search for .inf files and then
mod it (I'm experienced on this)
and then install it manually
to avoid the MS Store thing
Sounds Fun to me!
Last edited: Nov 29, 2018 -
Only inf will be provided in UWD and the control panel must be downloaded through WU and you can just remove drivers via apps and features w/o needing to use DDU. Helpful for people who have WU set to auto and an driver update no more messes up a PC like earlier releases.
I want nvidia to use UWD and I can kiss goodbye to old and bloated NVCPL and use nvidia inspector. Sadly I'll miss dGPU monitor settings of NVCPL.6.|THE|1|BOSS|.9 likes this. -

There is no positive aspect to drivers being automatically updated by Micro$lop. This is a massive strike against Windows 10 and makes it more difficult than it already has been to take the product seriously. It's merely additional confirmation that Windows 10 is a joke.

I can see why they didn't dare throw it out via Win Update.
6.|THE|1|BOSS|.9 and Vasudev like this. -
How do we know they are good updates when the changes haven't been disclosed? Blind faith is certainly reserved for fools when it comes to anything having to do with the Redmond Retards.
It is undesirable regardless of the platform. I'm quite sad to hear that Linux would pull the same stupid stunt. For some reason I thought Linux devs would be smarter than that. I guess not. This needs to be a decision left to the end user. The only way it would be good is if it can be toggled off for those that don't want it and on for those that do without having to resort to undocumented tweaking or third-party software hacks.
It should not be obscured in any manner and it should be a prominent option that is easily found in the control panel/settings UI with no need for Google searching undocumented ways to override, strong arm or wrestle to regain control of your operating system through registry tweaks or terminal commands.Last edited: Nov 29, 20186.|THE|1|BOSS|.9, Vasudev and Papusan like this. -

The best thing about 1809 is that you appreciate 1607 LTSB more. It requires no cancer removal because there is none to start with. No need to screw with MSMG Toolkit since there is nothing to remove. But, as Brother @Papusan says, there is no way to remove the stench completely because, at the end of the day, it is still Windoze OS X... an abortion no matter what you do. A pig with lipstick is still a pig.

You're completely wrong! For Linux, you can configure or uncheck driver updates when it presents you with a menu along with changelogs and fixes. Its optional updates. After 3 years, with 41x drivers for Linux my 980M is performing on par with windows 10. It took 3 years on Linux and Day 1 on Win 10.
I have even blocked future driver updates for nvidia because 415 driver is very good and the GPU is performing at its peak and I asked pkg manager to hold that driver version for long as it can. You can use mark hold <pkg name> to prevent updates and Linux provides it.Last edited: Nov 30, 2018 -
That's good. I thought that @Ionising_Radiation was saying Linux now behaves the same as Windoze OS X. I am glad to know that it not the case, or that it can be easily disabled.

The thing is that Linux is, at its core, a command-line OS—even the GUI (commonly called the Desktop Environment) is a package added on (Xorg, Wayland, etc). What those two commands do (for Debian- and Arch-based systems respectively), is to pull the latest packages for the packages currently installed from the repositories, and seamlessly installs them, without the user needing to search high and dry for drivers. Most configurations for Linux drivers is done through the command-line, in things like .conf files. Linux was, from the get-go, meant to be used from the command-line; u
In fact, the driver situation on Linux is generally better than that of Windows, because of the intrinsically open-source nature. -

It frees up disk space. I hate windows update consuming 3-4GB each month during updates. I freeup those space and yestaerday I cleaned up my uncle's PC worth 30GB of junk, half of it was windows 10 update and others were Lenovo bloatware apps.
Its a double edged sword and I tend to exploit it because with UWD you rarely need driver update even before making W10 upgrade from one minor/major version to the next. Once WU is disabled and nothing from WU ever works. Hahaaa..Mr. Fox likes this. -
It's not unusual for Windows 7 drivers to work better on Windows 10 than drivers designed for Windows 10. Some of the driver "incompatibility" issues forward and/or backward are outright fabrications to manipulate end users or support Windoze OS X bloat-o-rama crap features. An example is the fact that @j95 Geforce driver mods work better than unmodded Geforce drivers.Ashtrix, 6.|THE|1|BOSS|.9, Spartan@HIDevolution and 1 other person like this.
