All the script does is run that wusa command in the first post to remove all the KB updates listed. As new KBs come out, I will update the script and post it here, someone just needs to let me know whenever I need to update it :)

My batch skills are a bit low these days since I haven't made a batch script since probably Windows 95 hence why it just tells you its removing and to wait and tells you when its finished. To be honest it doesn't really need any more than that though since its a straightforward process.

That's because nothing in life is free. And they know we know this.

The irony is, If they had just backed off and let it be... Done the right thing...
I would of been a lot more open to the upgrade without the knowledge of this type of NWO Cr@p.

I'm not sure if it works for 32-bit or not. I haven't used a 32-bit OS in ages but unless Microsoft has combined x86 and x64 updates into the same package, I highly doubt it.

Had to re-log in during editing... this is the edit

Thanks Ethrem. If this is unrelated... Another thread can be pursued and I'll post a link to that thread so a connection can be extended.

    There is a 32bit version for W10, and the O.S.'s below it. 7, 8, 8.1.
I'm running W 7 32bit... I think my geezer on steroids, Dell M4400 Precision runs cooler for it. Pros and cons, persist.
If 32bit gets covered here on your fix... I can hold out longer. Mostly due to my current prefs. and apps. I do have the pop up of Win 10's nag up at start up.. Just as the complaint describes.
So they're definitely effecting 32bit O.S.'s, as well.
Because of problems reported... I've been unsure about going 64bit thinking others upgraded and lost compatibility, functionality, with games.
Specifically... Removed access to older game play-ability with W -7 64bit... Games from the 2004 -10 Ara, in particular. Fear, MS Flight Sim, Battlefield 2, Quake 4, etc.
Which are important examples among others, at this time.

Maybe someone can verify this. If it's true, it's no accident, and falls inline with the BS MS is playing. Unless my info is wrong on this., The departure of XP. and it's known ease of use and reliability.... Namely., The irremovable service pack 3 from an XP disk, held up these losses until Vista 64 went W-7 64.

    Truth or fiction?

What I'm saying is that I don't know if they would use the same KBs.

I didn't know about Quake 4 but you're right. I own the original boxed special edition and the splash screen doesn't work and the installer hangs, just tried it. That's on 8.1 64-bit. It *does* launch from the DVD however (but then complains because it can't get write access and crashes right after I see the Quake logo in glorious 640x480 with my OSD numbers) so I suspect if I played with it I could figure it out. The installer is just broken.

    Works fine

    Post 1.4.2 patch 1080p

    rps20151012_173326.jpg

Its rare I find a game that won't work on 8.1 - the reason the installer kept freezing? Disc needed to be cleaned lol. Autorun still crashes but everything else works fine.

Thanks bud. That's a bit encouraging in these times of "thow take-th away". And my W-7 is rock solid... I don't relish a new installation to W7 64.
I might have to track you down for for help... do to never going to this long averted 64 bit transition.
    Which includes maxing the Ram...
I'll seek independence before you hear a scream... thanks again, Ethrem.

I'll be honest, I had many more compatibility issues with Windows 7 x64 than I do 8.1 so don't take my experience with 8.1 as though it will be similar on 7. For example, Final Fantasy VII (original 1997 edition) would not work without the bootleg mod pack on Windows 7 no matter what I did but it works fine on Windows 8.1 (I just actually prefer the graphical mods but the original game does work perfectly).

Anyway, totally off topic. If you need help with game compatibility in 64-bit, feel free to make a thread in the gaming forum :)

    Can't be curtain... But...
I believe it's from German/Austrian lineage.., Born shortly after the age of he Viking., And established in governance from the early second millennium on... Or more notably, the 20th century German royalty and the wealthy... "Barons of the untouchable Order. aka Bankers -.Lawyers... The two most destructive professions on the planet, combined at the hip.

Aid to the King.... Upper crust German society and the extension of the King's Hand in deed and power.
Other less known definitions as wellknown in military and landowner. Barron's of finance.

Or best known in the U.S as " Robber Barrons of the Great depression.
    Members to the world economy.

Overseers of "The Federal Reserve" An Institution, NOT FEDERAL, NOT A RESERVE OF TREASURY ... Just the World Banking system, aka THE WORLD BANK.

It's no wonder we're not under King's Rule right now or are we?

That "Hand" being equivalent power to wage war and taxation.
Any Will to their liking by Royal Order, The Authority of Templar... In the assigned area of Rule.
And accountable only to the Ruling King of all Kingship.
Himself-Faceless of the Divine Order... Gets a bit creepy here....
Not of these land earth or heaven. Baron of souls. Reaper of the barren young if sinless.
    Sacrificial toll of the barren.

A Priest of the Catholic Church will suggest., Satan, Himself.
Barron, baring Kingship, Kingship - having the power to rule... Answering only to the ONE.

If commonsense and logic still prevail as reasonable...
It's my theory that we, "The Human Race," are the one's under the microscope.
    All this time...
As the answers confirming this are all around us... In plain sight.

    Now back to topic.

I've been following this thread for a while now and I gotta say huge thanks to everyone here contributing for the common good. I totally lost my nuts after hearing that the spyware updates were rolling on win 7 and 8.1. Just one thing I need to confirm of these updates listed on the first page: these are only the regular OS updates right? Not the OS security updates or Windows server and/or ms .net framework security updates? Thanks to anybody in advance and keep up the good fight :)

The thing is now I don't trust any update that M$ puts out because we really don't know what they really are bundling with the so called security updates. With all the crap that they have been throwing at us do you trust them ????

Both you sirs have a good point there. The way I see it is that there are two extremes to approach this matter of updating our systems. One is not to install anything at all and another is to install everything possible. Now, I guess it's more than clear that neither of these options are the best ones, so the question is where should the line be drawn? So far I had taken the first post in this thread as the line, but could there be for example some date after the updates would be riskier to contain spyware? Do you update your systems anymore at all? I'm a bit lost over here and I guess I'm not the only one...

It's very simple, use this guide to hide the update and install other updates. now in the future when new updates appear, just google them to see what others on forums say about them just to make sure you don't install any telemetry or Windows 10 updates. This way you are always on the latest security updates but have no telemetry or Win 10 preparation updates.

    Reply to toughasnails. #220

    Trust?
Not since that "Update/Virus" Bill Gates vomited on the Windows community, forcing a re-installation of O.S.'s on the www. A "crash" my auto insurer felt before I could report it.
We're in their "Maze" but we don't have to eat the cheese.
Where is an O.S. That's off-line? This "game" their at work with requires a snip of the umbilical cord. so to speak.
Still might have to depend on pigeons for e-mail. (or a-mail, accordingly)

I mark this decade were witnessing as the awakening to global awareness and helplessness. And I'm sure this went into a file with my I.P.
Just as MS is on point with our little pow-wow here. F'um
No wonder why the Operations conducted behind the "Wag the Dog" campaign persists, instilling fear and disgust over the Second Amendment's
true purpose and it's getting critical as planned.

This is an On topic result to this thread's intention.

Just had to get that one off my shoulders.., Peeps.

    You are right though, toughasnails...
Trust has to be to preserved, once attained in spirit... And defended in blood, if necessary.
According to the Founders of the U.S.., Long ago but still "no joke..."
This group of refuge having escaped the tyranny of England, had enough sense to be the core settlers upon an untamed wilderness, with "life on life's terms," front and center.

And still did what was necessary to earn, maintain, impose, hold accountable, and enforce judgement, on it's own people. As any new settlement would impose.
History uncovers the truths of our own savagery as well, and hard lessons, to that end.
And much was to be desired in that time, as it is now.

But the devolving of the principle, "Truth and Fairness" is under attack.
Once taken... Not given back., Only taken back.
That's what remains in the nature of Man's self oppression... Slavery.
    A double edged sword.

Respected for the most part., We aware of our own capacity for selfishness.
A survival mechanism, embedded in our own DNA.

Have we always lead by example? Absolutely not by a long shot. Are there Americans, along with the rest on the world's population still in the grips of some form of ignorance and predigest? Absolutely so.

    My point to all this?
I think it's clear to most, if not all, countries and their inhabitants..,
There's a definite trend to undermining all forms of Justus and civility.
An insidious movement. Set out to destroy the progress of any unity in civility.

As if they prefer tribes over civilization. And they do.
That is... Now that Tech is so diverse.

For the better, some will formulate. I guess that all depends on the one's welcoming of the terms, Collateral Damage or Ethnic Cleansing, and the one's not.
    .
Needless to say... But I'll say it anyway...
"Brought to you by the same MF's that crashed the Towers and the economy.
And I'm not talking about puppet perpetrators from the Middle East, either."

By knowing there's a difference between the nature of man, and his vulnerability to criminality...
A striving towards "balanced civility.," This is the true test of Man's future.

    ..........

Although I thought that was the essence of the topic here...
    Please., Back on main topic.

    .

Well, looks like the chickens are already starting to come home to roost with Windows 10 cancer for some NBR members that haven't disabled Automatic Updates. Having it "turned off" in Windows Update is not enough. You need to use a registry hack or Group Policy to make it non-functional. Otherwise, it can and will turn itself back on. I'm approaching two weeks on my second round of Windoze OS X testing on my M18xR2. I have no Windows Updates events on Windows 10. I clean-installed installed the ISO offline, using a local account, disabled everything before connecting to the internet for the first time, and I have nothing from Windows Update, LOL. And, that's exactly how I want it to stay.

Problem here is most did not on Tuesday get their updates installed and systems that have been on and not updated may not have got the fix in yet, they are still set to upgrade. this is an issue that could now be with us for months, not just a day or two.

Micro$oft is willing to try everything now to push the junk on all win 7/8 system. If you don't want it then you shall have it no matter. Maybe Micro$oft should pay Win 7/8 users to install the trash? Maybe 500-1000 $ ?

Hummm... Pay.... That would be nice... A nice price ... for them.
They'll just hand over your logs and vitals to those paying to get them.
How ..? Because they'll own them... Like they pretty much do now.

That's why it's always good to remember... "Nothing is free in life."
    But no worries...
This "pay" concept... It's just soooo versatile... Like "Pay them a visit, instead."
Unless we can "paint in" an air strike or find and illuminate the "Bat" search light...
    I say we pay them....
Pay them a visit... An "ANONYMOUS" visit. Like the 'Church Of Scientology' anonymous visit?

Anonymous does quite well seeking assistance in the "visiting" department...lol.

Reminds me of a Jeff Beck tune... off his 'Guitar Shop' CD.. Back in the day....

    Quoting 4 bars of lyrics...
"ME LOrd!..... I sAY..., Me LOrd... Much is BeING SAid, ME LoRD... , BUT NoTHING Is BEIng DONE.!

Now back on main topic... pleazzzze.

Well I finally got around to running this on all my W7 64bit systems. Took about 1 hour to do 9 laptops. Before we had this I know it took me at least 2 hours to go threw all the updates just to do 1 laptop. Thank you @Ethrem

I'll do that. Is there a way to see when these m$ updates have been published other than checking them from windows update screen? At this moment I see only minority of these bad updates and their release dates. What I'd like to do is to know when all these bad updates have started to roll out and draw more or less approximate safe line between good days and nowadays. The m$ sites couldn't help me much in this subject. Would be nice as well if these dates were to be included in the first post in the future.

Never look up their info directly from Windows update itself, the descriptions are very vague. Always use Google and search, you will see what people in other forums say about them.

Matrix Leader, do you by any chance work as an SCCM admin? Your ability to screen updates is impeccable...

Nope, I'm 31, with only a high school diploma, but I use common sense + vigilance, it's no magic, all it takes to search for each new update as they come and see on other forums what people say.

I'm not using Windows 7 though now so y'all need to keep posting what updates come so we can all work together in perfecting this guide.
