i hate the look of alienware machines and there silly lights plus they dont come with fingerprint readers and just dont seem as refined in my oppinion , and all iv ever heard is peope whinging about allsorts of problems and as far as i can remember you can only get those glossy screens which i despise

usb3 ? well one port alone with a hub could easily do a clone from one drive to the other just through the port via a hub

quite a few ssd drives now come with a mini usb connecter on them so they can be used like normal usb drives except you could upgrade your hdd via a ssd with the additional usb3 interface (if it gets a mini version that is!) there just a win win situation ,

im goin for the precision m6500 or whatever it will be called when its released as it will have dual drive bays so i will be buying 2 ssd's and i will sell them and upgrade them as they get cheaper to larger and faster drives

and with esata like i said i can rapidly clone my os whenever or just use windows home server

Unfortunately, I think that all notebooks are going that way (16:9). Not much you can do about it.

But if they have to go to 16:9, it would be nice if they created a notebook with a 16:9 landscape screen. I admit that would be pretty wierd, but it certainly would be more useful.

i thought all of them are landscape now? do u mean portrait?

i hate 16:9. I hope at least for another generation or two business laptops stick with 16:10

Theoretically, you could stand your notebook on it's side and use Nvidia, Intel, or ATI software to rotate the display 90 degrees. You'd need an external keyboard and mouse and would look like an idiot, but it's possible, I guess...

The new Lenovo SL is 16:9, hope that doesn't mean the new T/W series (no more R series) will be 16:9. If Lenovo goes 16:9, there is no hope for Dell :p
