I just got my 1700 back from a temporary 3 month stint with my brother (his PC died and I decided to let him borrow it until something came along to replace the dead desktop. After getting it back I remember just how much I loved this laptop!:D

Anyone else running around with a vostro 1000, 1400, 1500, 1700 and how are you liking it after coming up on 3 years?

I'm typing this from my Vostro 1500. It still runs great. I recently upgraded to 64 bit Windows 7 and a also upgraded to 4 Gb of RAM just today. Early on, I switched to a 7200 RPM hard drive. It's been a trouble-free machine and does everything I want.

Nice to see some more original owners. Mine is coming up on 2 years and has had the ram upgraded to faster gskill and 3gb vs OEM 2gb. Other then that change right after getting it is all original. I love it as it has always worked perfectly and never given me any trouble. Not to mention its nice to have a full sized keyboard and a wuxga screen after working all day on my t400 (not that its a pain to work with the t400).
