Is the Latitude 13 going to be dockable? Will it be configurable with Arrandale low voltage chips?

It had better be dockable...but since it appears to be a copy of the V13 I have my doubts.

I can't imagine it wouldn't be dockable like all other Latitudes. I'd agree it's an aesthetically pleasing design.

It costs more than the vostro v13 and has what seems like identical specs. Am I missing something?

Better construction, warranty, docking ports, etc., I would assume.

Seems to missing the docking port based on the specs on Dell's website. It seem to be identical to the V13 for all practical purposes. (If don't know the difference you probably don't need it.) Kind of a bummer. I was hoping for a docking station and DisplayPort.

I find it interesting Dell is calling it a netbook. Probably a typo.

For those who haven't seen it on Dell's website, the (UK) Latitude 13 is here.

It's not a replacement for the E4300 (the E4310 is coming). As I have said in another thread, it's more of an upmarket netbook with, I assume, metal construction, to survive the wear and tear of travel but at significant less cost than the E43xx.

I wonder if the "sealed battery" means that it is hidden inside. The UK configuration seems to have a 30WHr battery, which, if correct, is a major disadvantage. Having a single RAM slot makes the 4GB configuration very expensive given the current price difference between 2GB and 4GB modules.

It's basically a re-marketed Adamo/Vostro V13 w/ TPM, single memory slot, and the ability to run traditional hard drives (Adamo can barely fit SSD's). It looks to be a wee bit thicker but not likely enough to run a separate battery and that means it's a small slab likely attached to the chassis. If you do an ebay search for Adamo 13 batteries, you'll find that the assembly includes the entire baseplate assembly. I would hope they drop in at least 40whr given my Adamo can stretch to 4hrs at best on one while running an SSD.
