You were probably the first on the coupons that were emailed. The coupons appear unique for the outlet when they arrive in your email.

Just Ebay for a coupon. I got one for $3.5.

I got a E4200 for $780 w/ tax. 1.2Ghz, 3GB RAM, 128GB SSD, BT and E-Module. Seems like a decent deal. Plan on saving a bit more by downgrading the SSD. I can either get a PCI-E card or a 64GB SATA2 from Ebay. With the PCI-E card I am looking at the whole laptop for <$500 and with the 64GB around $630.

I wouldn't downgrade the SSD unless you know what you are doing. PCI-E is out, unless you are talking about ExpressCard. The SSD is a uSATA. You can probably get the 1.8" naked drive from eBay but you should know exactly what you are looking for. Details are in this thread.

There is two mini PCI-E slots in the E4200. One is for WiFI, one is for the WWAN. There is no difference between mini PCI-E slots so the prob would be whether the E4200 can boot from one. Chances are it can since the SSD usually shows up as a USB device. As for the Usata I got this

The metal enclosure will have to be removed and there may not be mounting holes on the card. But Ill see if I can ghetto mount it in.

Oh, I thought you were referring to the SSD slot. Some folks mistakenly assumed in the early days that since it was a card, it was PCI-E. Anyway, I am pretty sure the PCI-E slots are not bootable but you are free to try. Let us know!

Edit: Yeah that drive should work and you shouldn't need to do any ghettofabulous hacking--the holes should be there and you shouldn't have to do much to remove the case. Here's a pic of the bare drive I took a couple of months back:

Jane, I thought you were a Brit :) ? The melting pot analogy is usually reserved for Ye ole America.

You have the laptop now, right? It has 2GB? I think you will find it more than sufficient for your needs. Oh and we will take those pics now!

You may have to call it in. Part # is 312-0863.

It may be withdrawn from the US market, I could only see in on the Canadian site.
