    I just tried it (booting the Acronis backup environment off CD), and it worked just fine, and it was able to back up the entire hard drive (all 3 partitions) just fine. This laptop's a winner!

    P.S. - For those of you just receiving new or refurbished Z600 laptops, double-check your driver versions. I had to download and replace almost every one of my drivers. Most of them were dated early 2009, and there were mid to late 2010 drivers available for almost every component.

    I thought I would check into the Z thread since I haven't been back in a year. I checked out the Outlett but have not found any good deals for the Z there, looks like I missed it by a few months. Ah well, maybe Dell will replace the Z soon with something else?

    hi all, i have succesfuly installed 64bit win7 ultimate with all hardware fully working!!!
    fingerprint, wwan, edgetouch, camera, dellcontrolpoint...

    used dell packages ftp.dell.com

    r228330,r229520,r240292,r251276,r267128,r269916,r279202,r279203,r267814,r311554,r254220,r276445,r261132

    vga,wifi,chipset,sata driver from intel.com

    edge touch driver r240292 manualy unpacked, create reg entryes and copy files to programfiles folder, now working but control panel dont have settings icon, i try fix it soon. driver 64bit was included :)

    also bios update to a08, fingerprint sensor firmware update,

    @hcman- can you please give instructions on how to "manualy unpacked, create reg entryes and copy files to programfiles folder"??

    look to atached files...

    put edge touch folder to programfiles x86, run reg1 and 2 :)

    use settings app from edgetouch folder... maybe someone make setup program for x64 :)
