No... I think it's a game hard to judge because it depends on the time of day (oe: at night you have teh street lights), then you have the rain affect... number of people walking and number of cars, water, and where are you located (bridge has both island segment loaded... so it slower)

But now, I am able to get a smooth game play... I even set rendering to High and increase detail distance and still get a smooth game play.

If you know a way to show the FPS, tell me and I'll play 2-3 missions and tell you the avg fps.

Well, most importantly to me I want to really push the FPS on Counterstrike Source. However, once I got above a certain threshold clock wise, even though the system can take it, the game can't...I'll sometimes get game artifacts even though the system isn't overheating. Is there anything I can do to fix that?

*EDIT* Nevermind, I solved the issue by creating a separate profile just for that game.

Will this work with the stock driver?

Hmm.. good question. I have no tried it.
It should theoretically work if you have the Nvidia Control Panel.
As once you have that, you can install the Nvidia tool found here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/nvidia_system_tools_6.03.html

And then it will add new items to the Nvidia Control Panel which will allow you to overclock the video card, as explained in my guide.

Remember that different driver could give you different results... you might be able to surpass what I could do, or perhaps won't be able to much. So, expect different results.

It does work with the stock driver, but I believe that it does not give control of the shader clock.

Not really sure why you would use the stock driver...

Indeed, I mean just by using Geforce drivers you can see a performance increase. No miracles, but visible in some games.

Could you give me a link to the drivers you are using? I was browsing the laptopvideo2go site, and there are a ton of different driver versions...

    Latest drivers version 185.26 (Vista 64-bit): http://laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=23346

    I have 185.20 (Vista 64-bit): http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers/vista64/185.20

Note that I did not try the latest version of teh drivers yet. I will soon.
Also don't forget to to download the modded ini file from the links provided above to replace on the extract setup, to make it install for this laptop video card.

If you wonder for 32-bit drivers... then I really don't know.. Nvidia is still in the good old 179 series driver for it.
