    forgot to ask you before.. is the screen bright? been using a macbook air and a vaio fw series and am wondering how bright it is compared to either one...

    on another note, I still can't decide if I should cancel my 4300 and go for 4200 .. :/ anyone has details on the docking solution w/dvd-rw for the e4200?

    How does the e4300 compare to lenovos in build quality? I'm currently in the market for an ultraportable and I've narrowed it down to the Dell e4300 and the lenovo x200.

    I've also looked at the VAIO Z but I currently have a VAIO SZ (which has been amazing) but sorta fragile. I'd like to switch to something other than sonys.

    The x200 looks good but I feel like the 12.1" display might be too small. I do a lot of programming so I stare at the screen all day. The X300 also fits my needs perfectly, with the exception of the ULV processor.

    Anyone have any recommendations or thoughts on what I should look at? I really want a lenovo but I can't find any 13.3" laptops that fit my requirements. The dell e4300 seems to be the next best thing.

    Welcome to the club LOL. I'm on the same boat as you, I did have x200 on order but canceled and ordered E4300 instead which I'm waiting to ship on 10/31...

    Looks like we're having the same problem SM10. Let me know how the e4300 turns out, I'm tempted to drop the money right now on an X200 but after adding in a docking station and CD drive I end up getting pretty close to the dell. The sony Z is looking better and better but I really need some ruggedness.

    maybe I'm the wrong person for asking that. I had an Acer Travelmate 4001LMi before (bought in 2004). The acer screen looks like being off beside the dell. :p
    But seriously I can't imagine that someone is unhappy with the dell screen.

    when you get it post review + pics please :) mine is showing up as 10/31 delivery next day.. I spoke to my rep and he said there's some shortage on processors :/

    still he said the date is worst case scenario and that it has entered production
