    I'm currently running 1920x1200 + 1680x1050 on dual displays.

You problem is related to your monitor - 30" (early models without the scaler - like Apple or Dell 3007) can only handle 2560x1600 or 1/4 of it - 1280x800.

I don't know if this has been asked before, but I want to remove the stickers off the palm rest of my e6400 (the centrino and vista ones). Is there a safe way to remove the residue that will be left behind from the sticker glue?

    Thanks in advance.

You can try using a Hair Dryer and Blow at it to heat up the both the sticker, once that its done, you can peel it off easily.

It is called the weight saver module. However, I'm not sure if anyone has yet seen one that is the right size. There has been a problem with people receiving weight saver modules that are too thick to fit in the bay.

When I first installed BT (370) software for my E6400 I noticed that after every restart my device is set to "Discoverable" - that's really annoying cause I use a BT mouse and thus have BT on 99% of time.

I didn't find a solution to that, other than creating a registry mod file that runs on startup and sets it to non-discoverable. Yesterday I did a clean install (WinXP) and put reg mod file in startup, as before. But now it runs before BT is able to start, so it has no effect - BT is discoverable.

So, to sum up - Does anybody know a permanent solution to make the BT software remember it's settings and not to be discoverable after every restart?

i have the M2400 which probably has same nVidia chip only rebadged (?), and external display output via the e-dock's displayport is fantastic. i connect it to an LCD TV up to 1080p. (http://forum.notebookreview.com/showpost.php?p=3853550&postcount=57)

I'm running an E6400 with a docking station and a Dell 24" monitor at 1920x1200 resolution. No issues or problems.

I'm running a Samsung 940BW at 1440 X 900 through the E-port via DVI without any issues, although I've not tried multiple external displays and I've got an E6500.

On the other hand, Dell does need to address multiple issues with the NVS160M drivers -- Vista Business reports trouble with the chip coming out of sleep mode, for example.

Just curious, but can anyone tell me the battery life difference of the Intel and nVidia graphics on a 6 cell? For someone who doesn't play games or do anything GPU intense is it worth the upgrade to go with the nVidia? Thanks.

From recollection (the answer is somewhere in this thread), it's about and hour, maybe a little more. With the Intel graphics the E6400 can be run for up to 6 hours with maximum power savings and the nvidia GPU takes at least an hour off it.

The Intel GPU will also give you a cooler and quieter notebook and the drivers seem to be less buggy. There's also the risk that the nvidia GPU might die on you at sometime in the future. The Intel GPU's 3D performance is not far being the nvidia 7400 of only 2 years ago and it includes a built-in HD decoder.
