    The HDD is discreet but on mine (see signature), the fan turns on when the graphics are heavily worked. For example, when playing flash video on full screen. If you are in a quiet room and the fan is at full speed, it is distracting. But it's less noticeable when the room isn't that quiet, like in an office.

    Just a quick question: Anyone with the Quadro sees the blue circle with that glow of movement in the mouse cursor when computer is "thinking"? Mine stays quiet without animation! :confused:

    Ah, that is not the video card drivers, that is the mouse drivers (Alps touchpad). In fact, you see the animation until you use the scroll which shows the scrolling cursor. Something in the drivers screw it up.

    The fix is to remove the cursor. The scrolling will still works as before, you just won't have the scroll cursor (which I think you can live without).

    Do I have to reinstall Windows to do this? If I just reinstall the drivers over the ones I have now, in the correct order, will it work?
