    i installed win7 yesterday night, and after 20 mins i decided not using it. coz there are some drivers for E6400 doesnt work well. Also, I still need to do tweak for SSD.

    Win7 works pretty much flawlessly on my E6400 and my D620.

    like what? ive gotten it to run pretty much flawlessly. and what build did you install? 7000 has some serious issues. let me know if you want my help stabilizing win7

    Thank you , I just reinstalled Win7 again, and did the performance test.
    Processor: 5.7
    Memory: 5.5
    Graphics(aero): 3.4
    Gaming graphics: 4.1
    Primary HD: 6.7

    so, my graphic rate is really low, only 3.4. and I installed the driver from DELL website.
    are these rates the same as you guys?

    I don't know how Win7 benchmarks... but I know the limit was increased. They might have also change the grading system... just saying you know...

    yea, I know. the grading is different from VIsta.
    I only wish my NVS 160M can handle AutoCAD wrok coz I mainly bought this machine for my school work, and i never play games..

    It will work but 3D rendering will be slower than if you had bought a Precision workstation (and faster than if you got the Intel graphics).

    One minor note: the 14-inch Precision (the M2400) has a GPU that is very similar to the E6400. To get a significantly better GPU (about twice as powerful) you need the 15-inch Precision M4400. This is if we restrict ourselves to Dell business laptops of course.

    I have this annoying sort of problem - hdd led blinks every 2 seconds continously although it doesn't seem to affect its functionality. Do you know what might be the cause?
