What's even cooler is that Dell fixed that bug with the E6400 not charging the battery or not running full speed via the 65W PSU since BIOS A11.

a better question, and this is probably the problem. have you used any type of tool to set powermizer functionality? check gpu-z to see if the clock speeds are set at the factory default, or whether it is down-clocked.

No, because PowerMizer is a technology that allows the GPU to slow down when you don't use it, but go full speed when you need the power. PowerMizer refuses to accelerate to it's normal speed if you run your laptop on battery power. It is important to have the laptpo plug-in to allow the GPU to go at max speed.

Some people, disable PowerMizer on battery, or when plug-in (or both), to not have the GPU slow down on them, and be able to play games running on battery.

If you would like to tweak safely PowerMizer and other features or just to see your current settings, check out my tool that I created called NV GPU Pro. This reminds me to release a new version of it, tonight.

in theory yes, GB, but numerous people (look at forums on lv2go.com) have experienced an issue with powermizer being on (and even though it SHOULD not be downclocking, it actually is). there are numerous scenarios in which powermizer technology refuses to allow the gpu to clock at top speed when plugged in.

Of course... but I don't want him to disable PowerMizer without knowing what it is, and get ~5 hours of battery life on his 9-cell battery (if he as one), instead of ~9 hours (new battery, and pushing the system).

And their can be millions of problems... the best thing is to actually go at Nvidia main web site and download the drivers and use a modded ini file. As these released are OFFICIAL release, not beta's or uncertified by Nvidia test team (therefor not signed)

that is all lv2go does, they create modified *.inf (not .ini) files. you can pick whether you want only WHQL'd, etc.

What's even cooler, is ... oh no wait it's not cooler.
I tried 65W PSU right now.. and my laptop is not charging... if it does, it sure is extremely slow. And I tried to use the least amount of power too.
    I have BIOS A12

Well yea, but what i say is that, they offer you beta drivers (which is also avail on Nvidia web site, of course). But in front of your face, and many tend to get the latest drivers.. not really knowing if it's beta or not.
