The Nvidia card tends to overheat. Other than that, nothing that I recall.

uh...the card overall does not overheat. There are some individuals who have had problems, but the great majority have not.

That is the problem with perception.
As a reader perspective, we see bad cases more underlined against good cases. Also, when it works, people usually don't talk about it. But it's bad problem that speak up. Why? Well because it's a forum.
That is the difference between reading a review where both are mentioned and someone looking for advice or help.

And that's why we also need to dispel those myths otherwise they catch on and people can't shake them. Just like with Vista.

In comparison, there are zero reports of the Intel GPU causing overheating.

I can't wait until Intel drop support for it because they will release a new one and then newer applications that require the GPU won't work.

i called dell twice and spoke to 5 different reps in 5 different departments, the last of which was a woman from the 'resolution center'. she assured me that if i wanted to order vista 64, i'd have to purchase it. she claimed she's never heard of anyone getting sent a 64 disk for free. any insight on this? i'd like to give it another shot, but perhaps i'm not asking the right questions / speaking to the right people?

The problem is that my motherboard and heatsink were already replaced, with no joy.
