I have a Dell Latitude E6500 with a Swedish keyboard layout. I was wondering if it is possible to change the keyboard layout to the standard US keyboard layout?

That would seem most possible, given that you buy and install the desired keyboard.

You can put stickers on the keyboard that you have and then tell the computer (Windows > regional settings) that you have a US keyboard. However, the US keyboards are cheap and easy to fit (get a backlit one).
