    I just purchased a Latitude E6500 for $511 shipped.
Edit: Got some specs from vendor.
    Specs:
    2.8 ghz C2D T9600
    4gb DDR2 800 mhz (may be upgraded, I think I have 1-2 4gb ddr2 modules laying around)
    15.4" 1920x1200 CCFL
    DVD/CD RW
GPU used: Nvidia Quadro NVS 160m
    160GB Free fall sensor HDD
Operating system: Unknown* (I have w7 ready for it)
Extras are unknown: keyboard backlight, finger print reader, etc...

Condition: Good, minor scratch or two. Battery supposedly works well.
Vendor is HIGHLY reputable on ebay, 2k+ sales only 2 negatives the past year which were resolved or illogical.

    1. Good price? I know the build quality of the Latitude E6*** series (magnesium alloy base/cover).

See the threads here and here regarding the screen swaps. How easy it is may depend on whether your E6500 currently has LED or CCFL backlighting.

Thanks. I just found out the laptop will come with a 1920x1200 screen, so that's one less upgrade.

I just now need to upgrade it with a few things. (Backlit KB/Fingerprint reader/SSD)

The backlit keyboard (look for E6400 / E6500 keyboard on ebay) and the SSD are easy changes. The fingerprint reader may not be worth the effort.

Yeah the backlit keyboard/hdd are covered.

Uhm iirc the finger print reader should allow for a post boot finger scan, so that would be good for security.
If not I suppose I could just stick with a HDD password
