Color Critical Displays FAQs | Color Critical Monitor FAQs

The A-TW filter is an additional film that is applied to some LCD panels with the aim of improving off-axis viewing of the display by reducing the "glow" effect that can be seen when viewing very dark images at extreme angles on S-IPS LCD panels. While it does reduce the glow effect, it can also introduce a slight coloration artifact that causes the glow to appear green when viewed from one angle, and magenta from another.

Well, I think glow is pretty noticable with my display, so I may not have this A-TW filter. :) And my problem is not that glow is green/pink, but normal white colour and not when looking from any particular angles, but all angles. I think this effect is more likely due to some non-linear propagation of LED light (I don't know proper tech terms) - R and B light is dimmed (or off the edge) ang G gives this green tint.

Did you really read carefully between the lines? And also All 10 bit IPS Panels from LG have A-TW polarizers.

Well, I said that A-TW has not done very good job, because my glow is clearly visible. Although I think having or not A-TW is not causing my problem...

This is all just my opinion here.
"wearing out" is probably the wrong term to use. The finish is more fragile. We have not had a M6600 long enough to do a long term evaluation, but I see things like some slight wearing on the corners, and some slight wear marks to the plastic on the hinge cover where it contacts the laptop sleeve, where almost nothing appears on our M6300.

This is looking them over pretty darn closely, more so than most users will ever do. After all, it's not collectable porcelain from the Ming dynasty.

Scott, what is the best way to insure my case is elevated to the proper agent who will then work with the parts dispatch dept. to ensure the requested panel is pulled and sent. Appreciate your help :)

WOOT! M6600 shipped today and I will have it tomorrow!!

Time to do some serious testing on the IPS panel and Quadro 5010M.

I am so excited my head might just explode.
