How would you "extract" the vbios? If you seem to have issues with your card, get it replaced asap. It could be hardware.

I am not sure I need to replace the card. It works fine with optimus . Maybe vBios will solve the issues with Optimus disabled.
Dellienware can you upload your bios? and how do I change .bin file to .ROM?

    Thanks.

    Here's my Quadro 4000M Bios.

Bin file is from GPU-Z, latest version
Rom file is from NVFLASH, by booting into dos and using nvflash --save q4000m.rom

Picture is the screenshot of GPU-Z detailing my Quadro 4000m, could be useful...

To flash: boot into dos, put the rom file in the same directory as nvflash.exe and type "nvflash q4000m.rom" to update your bios (according to the nvflash help documentation). q4000m.rom is the filename of the bios you wish to flash.
Ofc use this at your own risk lala and all that.
Hope you get your machine working :)

Had to .zip the files, .rar .bin .rom are not liked by this forum

Interesting... GPU-Z shows exactly the same here - except for 2 things:

    - GPU Revision: mine is earlier (A1)
    - Pixel Fill rate: 15.2 GPixel/s vs. just 6.7

    ???

Edit: upgrading GPU-Z to the newest version eliminates the latter difference - still interesting, though...

Ohh and I wanted to ask you if disabling Optimus works well for you?
And why do you use an old driver ? the new ones cause problems?
    Thank you very very much.

    Long story short

Originally bought a refurbished m6600 over ebay in November last year. At random it would bluescreen on me, reinstalls etc didnt help. Dell kept insisting this was due to me using a newer nvidia driver (295 etc). Reinstalled with stock driver from dells website and blue screens still happened. Anyway, after much back and forth they shipped me a completely new model (way to-go dell by the way, they suggested it, didnt even demand it) anyway, so right now I am on my new machine, 14 days old with everything stock -driver wise. My nerves can't handle anymore problems haha, so far no problems. Will update drivers when this machine has been running without hickups for two more weeks -just making sure that the old problems were not caused by me.

Optimus works perfectly for me, have been running with it on ever since I got the machine. Though, sometimes after taking the machine in and out of standby the Nvidia GPU doesnt kick in -premiere pro etc doesnt see the GPU -a quick restart fixes that.

EDIT: Must learn to read, haven't tried disabling optimus yet. Again with the nerves stuff, afraid to ruin this perfect setup so far.
You're very welcome, just let me know if you need more information / bios etc

I am so hopeless. Flashed the bios and the problem remains. . Will have to call dell.
Can I connect my tv with display port or just with VGA when optimus is running?

I received my laptop this afternoon, currently using it now and as of this moment I do not see either the pink nor green tints that your screen seems to possess. I will leave the screen on for a 24 hour period and see if these tints appear or not. Curious question....did your screen have the tint right out of the box brand new?

With Optimus enabled, the Intel integrated card can only drive the internal display and the VGA port. If you connect a display to the HDMI or DisplayPort, it will be driven by the NVIDIA card directly (so the NVIDIA card will always be powered on).
