    Thanks everybody!!!

Dave, I think I'm leaning towards the same configuration. It seems like a lot of the systems I see for sale are currently only using 2 dimm. Is this the case or do most systems come with the ability to expand to 4 dimm???

Last thing, has anyone ever tried to upgrade using dual 1TB hhds??? Or are we sure that 750GB hhds are the max?

depends on the ram configuration. But you can use the extra 2 dimm or course, when using quad core cpu.

1tb 9.5mm 5400rpm are available for aftermarket. I got mine 750gb 7200rpm cause of the speed.

Ok, so am I correct in thinking that all m6600 have 4 dimm bays built into them, but whether you can include 2 or 4 ram cards depend on whether you're using duo or quad core processors?

ALL mobos come with 4 DIMMS, regardless of what ram or cpu configuration you bought from Dell.

ONly the quad core cpus support 4 dimms. There will always be PHYSICAL 4 dimms on the mobo.

I have waited for about 7 days for my M6600 to arrive with next business day shipping. I just placed order for one on yesterday, and has anyone experienced any delay recently? I am hoping that this one willl also be here within a week or so.

Still have lots of issues with Quadro 4000m. It worked well with optimus disabled and Nvidia 275 driver. I tried to update the driver to the 285 version . My screen freezes suddenly and I have to fight for the laptop to power on with the screen working. I tried the diagnose and everything went good. I am helpless never thought I would have to deal with screen freezing.
Everything works great with Optimus enabled but I need the HDMI connection so I have to disable it. What drivers do you use for Quadro 4000m?

straight out from the box, i did clean os install on my machines. Then, I just found latest drivers from nvidia website, and installed that.

Make sure intel HD drivers are installed FIRST.

If you cant resolve the issue, my suggestion is to do a clean os install.

I tried several times. One time I managed to make it work but than I installed nvidia beta driver 290 and the problem came again. My screen also freezes during bios (only with optimus disabled). Maybe Raid cause this issue to appear?

I dont have significant experience with SSDs but I always thought Intel had the best all-around SSDs. They are not the absolute fastest but arent very much behind and more importantly - are the most reliable.
OCZs and others with same controller are significantly cheaper and really fast but usually with numerous issues, not even worth considering imo. Samsungs are slower but have the reputation of being 2nd only to Intel when it comes to stability and reliability and yet they arent as expensive as Intels. Also I heard some other company has a quite nice model, but cant remember the name, either Crucial or OWC I think.
As I stated, I only have such general view of SSDs and dont know much about specific models, so given the little price difference I would(and am going to) choose Intel over my 2nd choice Samsung, but your preference of the 830 and also the M4 made me reevaluate my decision

I would like to add a bluetooth card to an M6600. I know that I could add a bluetooth module like the Dell Bluetooth 370 into the PCI-E slot, but I want to take advantage of the dedicated bluetooth slot in this laptop. I think the bluetooth card I am looking for is the Bluetooth 375 card. The hard part is finding the right cable for it. Would a bluetooth cable from a Latitude 6520 work in the m6600, or are all of the cables model specific? Thanks!
