@Aaron44126: Kingston HyperX runs at 9-9-9-27 at 1600Mhz.

Looks like 32GB at 1600mhz works after all. Good to know :D

Ordered my M6600 from the Outlet on Friday - it'll arrive while I'm out of town for work. Le sigh!

Question: It says it has the Intel 6300 Wireless card. It also says (2x2). Looking at the Intel site, the 6300 is a 3x3 card. Any theories?

Guys I literally just bought my m6600. I could not talk myself or let anyone else talk me into a different machine, as my 2006 precision m90 is still running strong, and i have honestly left this thing "ON" for about 2 years straight with maybe a day off here and there. But the thing still runs great i cannot imagine buying a different machine. I am studying to be an architect and run tons of rendering softwares, and revit. Which brings me to my point. I just bought my m6600 and it has not shipped yet, i bought it thinking the NVIDIA 3000m gpu was superior to the M8900 amd gpu. After reading this site, is the amd really that better. Should i call dell tomorrow and switch to the amd? I would save money. Please tell me what the differences are.

IF you are doing architectural stuffs, go for nvidia. If games. then AMD. You will need the quadro for BIM.

The optimus graphics swtiching between Intel HD3000 and Quadro is good. You don't need the overclocking from AMD.

Yes, but it will not happen if you try the hibernate just one time. It usually takes a few days of using nothing but hibernate (instead of shutting down) for the power switching to go all haywire.

I have no idea how to fix it other than rebooting.
