    I ordered a m4600 on 7/1/11 and the Dell support site originally said the EDD was 7/18/11, dell's site now says the EDD is 7/14/11 but the FedEx tracking number provided lists the EDD as 7/12/11. Either way I am quite pleasantly surprised.

    After reading about others' deliveries and updates, I was ready to call and complain. I clicked on my original order confirmation email to get the number and I noticed that my EDD is now 7/18/11 and is listed as shipped! :) Though there is no tracking number. :(

    The E-port plus has an updated EDD of 7/18/11, but it is listed as still "in production."

    Isn't it really dependent on how you spec your laptop? I think there is even a list on the dell site that give a time frame on how long certain parts will delay the creation and delivery of your laptop. Maybe you just chose some of the things that were causing problems.

    That was my understanding. But, when I saw similar builds getting moved up and mine wasn't, I wanted to make sure it wasn't because I didn't ask or follow-up.

    It has shipped by FedEx. Should be here by Friday. I am glad I didn't have to wait until the 29th, the original EDD. :)

    Yeah I received my laptop today 6 days before the original EDD and 2 days before the EDD on Dell's site. First positive experience in purchasing a new laptop out of my last 3!

    My order says it shipped...and the EDD changed from 7/22/11 to 7/21/11...and then the order randomly went away...I'll check tomorrow but I think I'm gonna have to call Dell again...

    EDIT:Never mind...I guess Dell does not handle its accounts very well, you aren't allowed to see an order you made from your account that has already shipped...FAIL

    Supposed to get a tracking number tomorrow...

    Why not track it now by heading over to the FEDEX site and tracking it by reference number and that is your dell order number :D
