    Hi ken_truesdale,

Dell is updating its Precision M6500 laptop System with Intel’s Core i5, USB

Source: Tom’s Hardware and Electronista gadget for geeks.
    1) New 5GB/S USB 3.0 ports.
    2) New dual-core i5
    3) New 3.2 Megapixel Webcam
    4) And 64 GB SSD mini card for your Operating System (OS), and
you can setup your system in a RAID 5

    I Hope this helps

Anybody have any indication at what prices the Latitude E6510 might start at? Any ballpark figure would be better than nothing. Just purchased an E6500 from the outlet for $1.5k and it comes tomorrow. Trying to determine if I should return that one and grab the new E6510. I can always wait an see, but would be nice to have something so I can decide whether to open it or not.

Holy cow, are you in the US? That's an expensive E6500! I'd say the E6510 will start around $900 all the way up to $2,000. I'm guessing they'll start selling some time in March.

Yup, that's why I figure I might as well get the E6510 and possibly spend a little more $$. Looking forward to grabbing the i5 if possible.

$1500 for a E6500 at the Outlet is a terrible deal.

Performance wise, it suggests the performance of the NVS 160M is a Geforce 9400M but with 256MB od dedicated memory. I have a system with a a 9400M and the performance is lower than the NV160M.

The FX 370M is, if I recall correctly the same as the NVS 160M, as you said, however it's not soldered in GPU.

As you can see from previous posts in this thread, February has long been expected to be the release month. But here we are in the last week of February and no more news about releases. I'm looking for a date that is less speculative. Anyone?

Yeah... I'd like to know as well if I should wait another month or two for the E6410 or get the HP8440w now.... I wish Dell was more forthcoming about stuff that everyone already knows is in the oven :( ok, I get it, they don't want people to stop buying.... but they're already discounting the "old" models, so whoever would hold back because of official announcement of new models is already holding back!

On a more constructive tone... Maybe we can guesstimate when the models will be out by the date they were FCC-leaked (Feb-1 in Engadget) and FCC-to-market time of previous models? :D

If I didn't have to wait to close on my house, I'd probably give up on Dell and make my final choice between w510 and 8540w.
