??? not really, prices are much lower. You easily save €400 on a config like mine. Both ex. VAT

Wow the Latitude 13 is most unimpressive.
At the end of the day, it's exactly the E4300, but significantly less ports, less features, less battery life. Yes, it is a little thinner.. but is it worth it?

They could have slip in Display Port, 1 more USB ports at least, and use a Core i5 or i3 (i7 might be too much hot for such thin laptop), just to use the latest Intel processors.

My thoughts exactly, for a "just in" laptop it's waaay behind in tech. And a laptop without a single digital video output is a big NO everytime.

You can't compare the Latitude 13 with the E4300. The latter has a proper CPU, two RAM slots, 1280 x 800 display, a built in optical drive and a 56WHr battery. Nor can I see mention of a backlit keyboard option. The Latitude 13 is more like the E4200 or is it an up-market netbook?

Good call, John. up-market netbook seems about right. And there goes Dell further diluting their "Latitude" brand. What a mess.

Dell's president of Small and Medium business will be speaking tomorrow at 10:30AM at Cebit, so it'll be 4:30AM eastern. Hopefully they'll at least announce the E6410, E6510 and the E4310. I'm not holding my breath over the m4500, it still hasn't cleared the FCC.

    Edit:
I wanted to add, for anyone that doesn't know how to get to the FCC database search, here's the link
    https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/GenericSearch.cfm

You just need to enter the grantee code, Dell's is "E2K", and the date range.

Given the pricing on this 13, it's a perfect bridge between the expensive E4300.
It's smaller and perfect for travel at under 900$ pretty much loaded.
