Yes. Power adapter replacement is flawless. They don't think the two issues are related.

Today I talked to XPS support and tonight I talked to Prosupport. My experience could not have been more different. XPS support made me
jump through hoops I had already been through and it
took 45 mimutes to get a dispatch. Prosupport actually asked
well thought out questions and presented me with a couple of options in about 15 minutes. I swear, I hope they ask me to take a survey on my experience with prosupport because they restored my faith in Dell.

Power adapter service call went in at 3:00 pm and i had the replacement the next day.

Battery went in around 9:30 pm and they are estimating Monday since the service call went in so late.

Next day is truely next day.

Also, they captured the power adapter for testing. Very heads-up actions from Dell.

I know what you mean about just Support, I have the same problem with Lenovo.
My new W700 Crashes with a LiveKernelEvent, and today my graphics card is telling
me Hewlett-Packard is interested in gathering additional information about the problem.
On my Lenovo W700. Do you see something rough with that or is it just me? lol

    Hi all,

were you able to get full graphics card performance running on battery? I ran 3D Mark 2006 on battery and got only about 6000 points instead of 13000 when running on adapter. I checked the power saving scheme I use for high performance and I haven't noticed anything set to prefer power saving.

    My config is QM820 + 3800M.
