    anyone with linux installed able to post a dmsg/lspci so we can see see the chips and look for usb3

    I'm a daily linux user...I'll be able to help with this sort of thing IF I ever get my machine! :D I'd like to see the output of this as well....please post...someone on here is using linux, can' remember.....:)

    Again USB 3.0 is not a huge deal as you could run it off an express card expansion if you wanted it. The 6300 will swap right in when released as well so not a big deal.

    Yeah, come tuesday i should be able to post when mine turns up.

    It wouldnt surprise me if some dell engineer snuck in an early usb3 chip as the m6500 platform will likely be about at least a year, possibly more if sandy bridge is southbridge chip compatible and it will be a hard sell to some if in 12 months time its still stuck on usb2 speeds.

    Frankly I would MUCH rather have had sata3 since diskio is my big bugbear.
