Intel i7-720QM

You have to set it up in the BIOS:

 

Yeah, thats the site that freaked me out, it shows VT-d for the i5's but not the I7's.

VT-d is needed for pci-passthough and its totally pointless to me if i cant give a VM direct access to a gpu/nic/usb attached device via xen. I dont need the performance, just the capability.

I can buy 3 i5's for the price of this pc, i will be VERY unhappy if its not there.

To me it's beyond belief if it doesn't, but they do apparently.

 

According to Intel's comparison chart the i7 720QM, 820QM and 920QXM do not support VT-D, just general VT-X:

I don't think it's the case but does M6500 support 12.5mm HDD?
