I had a similar issue with the M6400 and display port but not as bad.
I can't believe it is a hardware issue.

Same here. My external Monitor Lenovo T220 was detected the first time it was connected (via HDMI adapter) - but the next 5 tries were unsuccessful. No picture on the external monitor.

My issues with the M6500 are getting more and more...

    - display problem near the left border when running with the power adapter
    - "beeping" display on some brightness settings
    - no connection to external HDMI display

havoctex: any idea if a BIOS update is on our way to fix problems related to this kb978789?

I've had issues with my iPhone since my M6500 arrived, but had none with my previous M1710.

    Any info would be appreciated.

    Regards,
    Pablo

Yes there is a BIOS release on it way to support all the new items coming out and address other items.

For those asking about the SSD MiniCard, it is not a PCIe connection but a SATA connection. The test numbers I'm seeing are very good.

    Hi havoctex,

Can you give use more details on the SATA Connection,
Is dell going to use 2.5 65GB SSD, or the Samsung mini-PCIe SSD.

    Thank You,

All the SSD's we use connect via SATA. Both the 2.5" and the MiniCard connect via SATA. Not PCIe.

    Hi havoctex,

I understand what you are saying about, not using PCIe. It’s worded that way in the beginning of the press releases. Then Samsung talks about the SATA connection.

I am just trying to figure out the size of the card, because RunCore has a 128GB Pro IV 70mm PCI-e SATA II Solid State Drive SSD

I am just trying to figure out the size of the card that’s all.

    Samsung, Press releases:

SAMSUNG Develops Solid State Drive with SATA Mini-card Design for Blazing-fast Netbooks

Samsung Develops Solid State Drive with SATA Mini-card Design

    SAMSUNG Search Results:

    SATA SSD 64GB Min-card

Then; Sort by: Newest to Oldest

    Thank You,
