    havoctex,

Thanks for your continued input here.

With regard to the BIOS update, would you by chance know whether POST video, i.e., the boot up screens, will be fixed to pass over the DVI connections using the docking station? Right now, I have two Dell monitors connected via DVI to the dock. I have black screens on both monitors until the blue Windows splash screen appears. The problem is.... with a dual boot, I need to see that POST boot menu screen. As a work around, I also hooked up a third cable to one of the monitors... a vga cable... and i must change the input mode on one of the monitors to VGA to see the boot screen... and then change it back again to DVI.

The problem is that the POST / Boot screens are not passing over the DVI connection using the dock station. I am hoping a BIOS update fixes this.

    Thanks.

Display port does not even sync up until you get to the windows login screen.
Its some what worry some namely when you are using all Dell hardware and it does not work.

I assume accessory testing does not happen when they are designing these machines? Regardless I hope it's addressed.

Any word on the potential process if there will be one to update the left or right I/O card for the USB3 for existing owners or should we plan on RMA/re-order?

The new BIOS is in the process of being posted right now. Should be up soon.

    BIOS A02
    Fixes/Enhancements:
    1. Added support for Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU.
    2. Added support for Minicard SSD.
    3. Added support for USB 3.0.
    4. Update Intel baseline firmware to 6.0.21.1188.
    5. Fixed issue where DP/DVI did not display video during POST.

    Hope that helps.

Assuming you work for Dell, I am sure I don't just speak for myself but I have to say it's good to know someone from Dell connects with the owners on a technical level to say "Hey we hear you and this is what we are doing."

I am a massive supporter for my company to stick with Dell for hardware standards. But over the past year our engineering department (I am in IT) has slowly been migrating to HP workstations and other products because HP and CDW support is so much better from a technical and customer service level.

You being on here at least gives me some shred of hope, things are improving on your end.

Can you tell us what the average build to ship times have been?

Just curious how accurate the estimated delivery date!
