not yet...he's not in...and because he's honoring my original deal, I'm going to stick with him. My rep is in Small Business. But i'm going to tell him the USB 3.0 motherboards don't know the difference :D

    YBcold,

We Need USB 3.0 Now :D

The Large Business gets the options first, then the Medium & Small Business. I think everyone should get the options at the same time, but Business just doesn't work that way.

We have to find out what: TAA Workstation stands for, in the USB 3.0 options.

I am waiting for my rep to call too.

And there is an option for the 64GB SSD Minicard in the first hard drive option but it will only let you pick two drives not three, what’s up with that.

I did not know about the loss of TRIM support, should have done my homework on that. My understanding is this will affect the write speeds at some point when the disk gets all of its pages used up, but the read speeds should still be 2x vs. a standard setup with 1 SSD.

Also I imagine there will be firmware upgrades, etc., for the RAID controllers to implement similar solutions such as TRIM. One would hope sooner than later.

And hopefully by CS5 the plugins will be coming out in 64bit as well. Thanks for your reply.

You sure about that? Like I said before, make sure you will actually be able to fit the stuff you need on that cramped little 64gig drive. If you don't have too much memory on your machine, and/or switch off hibernation and page files you may be fine. If you don't install too much software, anyway... Personally, I think putting the OS on a 64gig drive is a fairly hare-brained idea; it certainly would be for the way my machines are setup, but your mileage may vary, as they say.

As long as you place everything else and reroute your my documents folder to the larger drive then it makes the 64g more than enough.

Not practical for Graphics/3D software use. Just the applications alone plus OS, I already consumed 55GIG. All the documents, Libraries and downloads are all in the separate drive.
