Considering the IPS screen as an option but wondering what's involved in maintaining the calibration? Does it need constant tweeking? Does it need calibration every time it's used in a different location? Just looking for the pitfalls before I jump.

    Thanks

I mean, unless you're working with some really color-sensitive stuff, you don't need to calibrate it at all if you don't want to calibrate it. On the other hand, if you are working with said color-sensitive material, I presume you know how to calibrate a display properly... the display itself should not "reset" or anything once you calibrate it.

Imho you should calibrate - i did so with mine and it had a considerable red-cast that's now gone :)
New displays drift more than older ones... I re-cal mine once a month.
