    Hi all,

Precision M4400 here. I'm having trouble figuring out which Nvidia chipsets/laptops support which versions of DisplayPort.

    1. Am I correct in guessing that the Quadro FX1700M I have in the M4400 supports only DisplayPort 1.1a?
    2. Therefore, with a passive adapter, it only supports HDMI 1.2?
    3. Is output possible at 120 Hz to a capable monitor?

I have already learned that it takes hacked IDT drivers or the Windows native ones to get audio over HDMI. I have also already learned it is impossible to drive three screens simultaneously with this setup. Frustratingly, I learned that with the latest Nvidia drivers, my M4400 crashes when coming out of sleep, but only when connected to DisplayPort!

Additionally, this is more off topic, but comparatively, what are the capabilities of the latest 15" MBPs? I have the mid-2010 version with a Geforce 330M GT GPU.

1a. Are the display capabilities of the MBP's 330M GT the same as the Quadro FX1700M/GT 9600M on the M4400? I have all of the requisite adapters (sadly) except DP->dual-link DVI since that one is powered.

    Thanks!
