Just got my Precision M4400 and a Logitech bluetooth mouse. Can't figure out how to activate bluetooth, or whether it's even installed as ordered. Blue bluetooth light above keyboard is on, but can't find bluetooth in Device Manager, or in system tray. Would appreciate anyone's help.

I have a Vostro 1400 with internal bluetooth and Vista. Go to Control Panel, System, Device Manager, and you should see "Bluetooth USB" if it's installed.

    Hopefully that helps.

Thanks for the responses. From what website would I download the BT driver? Is there a driver for the BT device installed in my notebook, or are we talking about the driver for my BT mouse?

Have you tried installing the software that came with the mouse?

Do you see the Bluetooth Symbol in the system tray (down on the bottom right by the time)? If so, double click that and see if it shows any available BT connections.

Dragging up an old thread - did you get this sorted?
I've just noticed the driver on the Dell site so I'll be trying this tonight but I currently am in the same situation in that the bluetooth light lights up but nothing really points out to say I have bluetooth

One note of comfort is Bios says Bluetooth Card is there

    Hi aj

just install the drivers as mentioned above. If you run everything as adminstrator it'll install fine and you'll get the BT app and added functionality if some was missing now. For me it was the scroll button on my mouse that only worked after installing the driver this way. The mouse would be found but not fully working.
Hope it works out for ya!

    edit:
lol...the exact way to install wasn't mentioned earlier :D
get the vista 64 drivers, right click the package and choose "run as adminstrator"
If that isn't working, right click package again, go to properties, go to the tab "compatibility"and set it to run in "vista compatibility mode" and check the administrator box.....that'll surely do the trick.
