I've been using GPU-Z and, I believe, Core Temp.

    I don't know if they're the best.

I ran some test and monitored temps on my 770M if anyone is interested. I didn't run 3d mark because I am not a gamer. Instead I did some rendering in Maya.

At stock clock speeds of 500 800 1250 my idle temp was 61.
Under max load of rendering in Maya for an hour it maxed out at 73.

I then overclocked to 625 800 1250 which raised my idle temp to 61 and my max temp to 75.

These test had both of my 2.94Ghz cpu cores completely maxed out the entire time. Around 52% of my 4 gigs of memory was also used. In addition to the 1920x1200 laptop display I also had a second 1920x1200 display connected.

    I hope this helps.

Rendering in Maya and OCing your GPU has nothing to do with eachother. That only uses your CPU and RAM so your GPU temps will always be around the same. A benchmark app like 3Dmark does load the GPU and to get benchmarks for 3Dapps you should use Cinebench for instance

Is anyone having trouble with the graphics drivers corrupting? Every so often when I log in, the video card reverts to default windows drivers and the becomes pretty much unusable. I have to uninstall the nvidia drivers and reinstall the dell drivers to get the graphics working again.

    Any help would be great.
    Thanks

It does if you render using Hardware rendering for stuff like particle effects.
I was not trying to see how many frames per second I could reach. Instead I was just trying to see how hot my gpu would get under full load.

I don't know a whole lot about Future Mark. Would it give me any relevant info that is not related to gaming?

This is a mobile workstation and not a gaming machine. Someone please correct me if I am wrong but I think Quardo cards and Geforce cards do there calculations differently. The Quadro drivers are deigned for running 3d CAD and design applications and are not maximized for gaming.
