I havn't found anything by searching the normal accounts I use.

I do find it about $30 cheaper on my premier portal though so there is wiggle room from the $179.99.

    Good luck.

Cool, thanks, because I think I have the configuration I want. What do you think about this configuration at $939? ($1016 w/ tax, shipping):

    i7-720QM
    FX880M
    4.0GB DDR3
    FHD Screen (1920x1080)
    Intel 6300 Wireless
    Bluetooth (Dell Wireless 375)
    Backlit Keyboard w/Fingerprint Reader
    Integrated Webcam and Microphone
    Built-in 56k modem
    250GB 7200RPM HDD
    DVD+/-RW Drive
    64bit Windows 7 Professional
    6-Cell Battery

I'm coming from a 5-year-old Latitude D810 with these specs:

    Pentium M 2.13Ghz
    2.0GB DDR2
    ATI x600 128MB
    WUXGA Screen (1920x1200)
Bluetooth (Dell Wireless 350), Intel 2200BG
    32bit Windows 7 Ultimate

Considering I paid nearly the same for the refurbished D810, I think that it's a pretty good deal and has most of what I need. However, I'm kind-of bummed about not getting another similar equipped system that was available a couple minutes earlier which had the 820QM and a 9-cell battery, but no bluetooth or fingerprint reader or modem. (and was about $100 more expensive) The HDD is a bit on the small side, but upgrading with a WD5000BEKT or Momentus XT won't be a problem for me. The loss of resolution due to the aspect ratio is a bit disappointing, but there's nothing I can do about that other than going for the M6500, which is too big for me. I just wish there was a way that I can upgrade the battery to a 9-cell without paying so much for it.

So, do you guys think the above configuration is a good one for the price? Will I miss out on that much performance compared to the 820QM?

    Looks like you did good!

Ebay has a plethora of 9 cell batteries. They're generic however, but only cost like 60 bucks.

Apparently most M4400 accessories work for our systems as well.

Will M4400/E6500/E6400 batteries work with the M4500? If so, that's great news.

Gogo 3 year Next Day Service!

On a tangent, even when I never had next day, Dell has set a repair guy the very next day three times in the last ten years I've had to use it.

How can I keep the backlit keyboard on in low light? It turns off in the early morning/evening.

    TIA

Turn off the sensor so it activates anytime you use the machine.
