You have to evaluate the cost - as mentioned, upgrade to a 320GB drive is more then 4 times a price of a new one from 'egg. Taking that into account I'd much rather spend the money for 2 drives having one spare to switch at any time necessary.

Also, most of the discount you can get is shaved of the upgrades price so that should be taken into consideration as well.

I agree with you on the hard drives - their prices are still too high to warrant including them in the original purchase; especially with things like Intel's SSD's on the very near horizon. I plan on upgrading to those when they're readily available.

Do those things come in 320GB sizes? :D
And if they do, how many fully loaded M6400 could I buy for the price of one?

:D - Not yet! They are supposedly available in 80GB right now (but good luck finding them) and there are supposed to be 160GB versions by the end of the year or Q1 2009 (I forget which)

yes orange finish but black inside. I think an all silver version can be a interesting option. I put this idea at ideastorm.

Well, it's still an LCD panel, no LED. Or am I wrong?

    I want E2E LED. ;-)

For the price quoted that has to be the RGB LED Edge-to-Edge glass display. Still no hint of this display on the US site I suppose...
